Loving it! Keep it up man, I have been following. :D
:D Thanks.

I have come to terms that this is more like a blog of what Im doing. And I accept and am fine with it.

More updates!
Woke up bright and early (10:30 ish lol) to find out I need to run to the store and get some things for lunch. That means I didnt get a chance to start until 11 or so.

I finished cleaning up the front floor pans, so the Dynamat would have something nice to stick to. I wanted to finish up the front area so I could reinstall the dash, and save the rear for a later day. The application started out okay. I didnt order the rubber roller for $12 from dynamat, as I though it was rather expensive. I swung by Home Depot the previous night, with no luck in some equivalent roller.

Instead I used an old rubber baseball, took the leather off, and put some paper towels around the sticky core. Worked out well enough.

The heater core is done and reinstalled, as is the AC and airbox. I turned on the air and #1 does not work. It may be because I hit it a few times with a hammer trying to get the spinner/cylinder off to lube up the rotating piece
The dash is back in, with most of the vents. I put my radio back in with half of the center console. It will have to come out to put the carpet back in, but I want to feel like im driving a car for the next couple days.

No picture updates this time.

I went diagnosing my issues after getting home from work. My horn wasn't working, my SRS light was on, my radio wasnt working, and my steering wheel was off.

Steering wheel came first, I rotated it a couple of splines, and bolted it back in. The SRS light was on because I had forgotten to plug in the harness under the cluster when putting the lower panel back on. Easy fix.

I first thought the SRS harness had something to do with the horn. That was an incorrect assumption. I then went to look at the horn fuse in the engine bay, it was blown. Another easy fix.

The radio was a bit more of a headache. I pulled it out, unhooked everything, checked the fuse, and it looked as though everything was fine. I thought maybe the ground was bad, but it tested out ok. After getting a little frustrated from testing wires, I went to look at the fuse again. It was blown. I must have gotten a bad look at the fuse, because it was obviously blown. Another easy, yet unfortunately time consuming, fix.

I failed to remember to hook up my climate control cable to my heater box, so that will have to wait until tomorrow.

My main accomplishment today was finishing up the Dynamat on the floor pan. I knocked out the passenger side rear quite quickly after eating dinner. I had to clean up some leftover tar from the old sound deadening, then vacuum and wipe it down with some acetone. I had lots of room to work with and a nice flat (ish) surface. It definitely went quicker than the front pans the day earlier.

After finishing that area, I decided to check the time. It was 8:30, and I figured what the hell, I can take out the driver seat and do the other side in an hour. Well I did, and I finished at 9:40. Not bad if you ask me. I still have half of the pack of Dynamat I bought left. I used 6 or 7 sheets out of 12 on the floor pan. That leaves plenty to do the doors, and extra to put elsewhere. I plan on putting a foam padding (Dynapad) on the roof, so I might preempt it with some Dynamat underneath the pad.

Will have pics of todays progress tomorrow!

So here is the progress from yesterday and today.

Today I managed to dynamat my passenger side door panel. It certainly is the hardest considering its the least cooperative when trying to put the door panel back on. I think it turned out pretty nice. I popped out off all of the oem ziptie holders that clip into the metal. That allowed me to get maximum coverage, and i simply cut the holes open to pop the clips back in. The door feels more solid and a bit heavier (obviously) but sounded much nicer when it closed. It is the least smooth-closing door on my car. Tomorrow I hope to knock out the drivers side, and possibly move onto the back doors.

I will have to wait to see how much dynamat I have left before I put the pad on the roof. I started with 6 sheets when I began the front door, and didnt use a complete sheet. I figure I will have enough to put some on under the dynapad on the roof, or do another layer on the front floor board. We'll see when that time rolls around.

Of course it is! I like being able to hear my car, but I dont want to hear the constant drone of my exhaust and tires rolling on the pavement in my commutes. That door panel took an hour or so, in fading light. It wasnt too bad, just tedious cutting strips to cover the small sections of the skin. Thats only one door done, I still have all the others to do. think the rears will be a little easier, as they dont have nearly as much wiring as the fronts.

I broke my climate control this morning. I must not have routed the cable properly, and so when I slid the temperature over to hot, it got 3/4 of the way there, and then as I pushed it clicked (something snapped). It slides back to cold, then is effortless as it slides from hot to cold. I have to reach under to the air box and move the piece the cable attaches to. Theres one more think I will be replacing sooner than later.

I went ahead and put my carpet back in today. I washed my car after getting home, and as the clouds started rolling in, got my carpet lined up and back in, as well as my passenger seat. The wash was a rushed one, and I did not wax it afterwards. I need to wax her soon, as she hasnt been properly cleaned in a while. Usually takes me half a day to do a complete detailing. But anyways, here are some pictures!

Further down the road, I will be replacing the carpet. I dyed it black when I got it, because the tan was pretty beat up, but its not a necessity at the moment.

How much did all that Dynamat weigh? Id like to do this, but I hate adding weight :(. Also how big was the difference?

Difference is fairly noticeable right now. I have been driving without carpet and my passenger seat for a while, so I haven't gotten the full effect. Its not that heavy either. I think when im done, I will have added 30-40 pounds, distributed around the whole vehicle. When im done with all of the doors and the headliner, I will give a better update with how much of a change I got.

Cool, yea 30-40 is more than id be willing. lol. Its a bit to perminate, and in a few years I plan to gut my car and track it when I get another DD. So it would just get ripped out and tossed :(. But ive always wanted to play with this stuff. I heard it can do wonders!

Well I have about half of the sheets used, and thats on the floor board and one door. So as of now, its only 20 pounds. Putting it on the floor soaks up quite a bit of sound, but I think it will really shine when the doors are done.

They recommend you do some things instead of others when not covering most of the car, to get the greatest effect.

I think the one thing ill do that will deaden sound will be foam filling the frame. Mostly for rigidity and suspension effects. But people report a huge decrease in creaks and moans from the car (most report no more creaks and moans at all). And even a drop in NVH.

Holy crapola. Thats a lot of money to foam fill the frame. I hope you can get a few cars out of that, and once its used, you can seal it and reuse it later down the road, instead of it drying out/expanding in the box.
