or you could always replace the ecu now and dyno or street tune it to clear the CEL. or actually you can get a OBD reader and clear the CEL that way :thumbs up forgot about that option until now
from my perspective he is on a budget. Currently Hondata only offers 2 ECUs for OBD1 systems. Hondata s100 and s300, s200 if you are lucky. s200 and s300 are the only ones which can be used for street tuning. they will run from 200-500 depending on which hondata system you buy. on top of that you need to get a socketed ecu or socket your own. Plus he wants to get a LS/V setup which will force him to get a vtec ecu which is more money. And to top it off if he doesnt know how to street tune or gets a hondata s100 he will need to dyno tuner to clear a CEL. IMHO a check engine reader is a better option than tuning on hondata. But with hondata he be able to tune nothing better then that
Very true but since he going ls/v might As well get it and buy a vtec ecu and they dont cost a lot I would save up some moneyfrom my perspective he is on a budget. end discussionAnd Hondata would be the best and less fusturating path to take but money is an issue. But if needed, then Hondata it is then...
