No. 2.5" would be fine.
Besides, for 450whp on a GSR, you would be fine with a gt3076r

Much better for spool as well. 35r on a B18 is lag from hell, and for a dd car lag is a son of a bitch.

BESIDES what everybody thinks about this turbo lagging..
I drove my stock ls/vtec with that GT35R for about 17 miles before I messed it up.
As soon as I hit Vtec @4500rpm that turbo is spooled and my tires break loose.
The last thing I'm worried About is lag.

So consider Vtec hits at 4500 then it takes just a sec to actually spin that turbo, so 4800ish for spool...... Yea, thats laggy for a DD car... And thats at full throttle, around town you will be giving it a ton of gas just to get it around. Dont get me wrong for a drag car, or a high speed track car that would be a great set-up, but for a DD car thats just retarded imo.

Once again, it's not going to be a 100% DD. I might drive it to work a couple days a week but besides that I just want this car for our weekend trips to erie blvd and occasional track runs. I'm not worried about lag.

well turbonetics doesnt make a gt35r so not sure what you actually have, maybe a t61. yes 3" is not necessary for 450whp.
