You're best chance is do a trial by written declaration. If you lose that you still have the option of going to court and getting lucky (meaning, the cop doesn't show) or going to traffic school.

Idk what the circumstances were or if you even have a case, but your best bet to win is by far written declaration.

thats right.
Good job :thumbs up

Hahahahahahaha :rolf: lol

I'm jk... U probably deserve it tho :slap:

Need more details...Was it a camera? Or a cop? If it was police that stopped u ur basically screwed in my book :what:
But if it was a camera u can probably fight it... Either u can just not pay it and it nulls after a year, or u can go to court and fight it and u MIGHT win

Not really. He's better off fighting it if it's a cop that pulled him over. Most of the time the officer won't bother to show up to court (LA county is really big and the courthouse is in Van Nuys) or won't bother to deal with the written declaration (they almost never do around here).
If it's a camera he's automatically fucked because that's indesputable proof. And if you just wait for a year, you'll get a warrant or a suspension on your license. Idk what you're talking about with that one :what:

first of all. dont do it again.
becuase police wont see speeding ticket as teen tryin to enjoy car
they see it as teen tryin to kill someone.
so its hard to fight it either way.

best chances are the cop doesnt show.
i had that happen to me on a diff case not speeding
no show

DISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSMISSED SIR.

Well the OP's avatar does say he's from CA...don't be a smart ass.

I think your best bet is to go to court and hope the cop doesn't show up..and if he does, you're fucked.

I think you can ask when their radar gun was last calibrated. If it hasnt been calibrated within X months, and it was due for calibration, it isnt able to be used as evidence.

well thanks for the ones that helped..and well it was a cop that pulled me over and he got me with the radar gun..i went 16 over..and well i got an extension and then i went to court and they gave me another one..so it would be around 6 months from when i got the ticket to when i have court..and well i heard that i can fight it by saying that i was keeping up with traffic and that i just sped up to pass a slow car in front of me

The extension part is good..when I get a speeding+reckless ticket(I was 17) I got two extensions and when the case finally came around the cop didn't come. It probably got too complicated for him. one date, then it changes, then another, changes again and he keeps having to show up for nothing.

^If you're in LA county and all the way by Riverside you're probably OK, the court house is in Van Nuys - the cops usually don't wanna go that far lol. Just make sure you go on a weird day, cuz the cops get paid $300 overtime to show up to court here.

If you want to make everything easy and safe and easy just go to traffic school because if you are going there thinking that the cop wont show up more than likely they will the only way that i have seen is that if you got caught by a air plane because 90 percent of the time they will not show up but your best bet is to just go to traffic school and not have the point on your record.

^That's why I was suggesting trial by written declaration. If he does that and loses he can still go to traffic school. Plus he never has to go to court.
