Just do traffic school/defensive driving. idk how it works out there in CA but when I got my ticket (15 over, and I was actually 20 over LOL), after everything was said and done I only saved about $40 bucks from paying the ticket out right, but my record is still squeaky clean. I need a radar detector...nah, I just need to quit speedin.
I learned my lesson though. Only way you can get away with speeding around here is if EVERYONE else is speeding too. I was one of the few people on the road a little before midnight on a Sunday when I got mine.
Are those speed camera tickets civil or criminal? We just have red light cameras in my area, and those are civil penalties if you get snapped and recorded. No warrants on those, but they send your bill over to a collection agency if they don't get it in time.

i have had my finger caught in the system before, and let me tell you... the judge has heard it ALL so try not to lay on the B.S. too thick.
The goal here is to not have bad marks on your driving record. if that is not possible then i guess getting the fine lowered would be the name of the game.
If there is a class you can take i would recommend it. you need every advantage possible. i have had a criminal case (for bag of herb) dismissed because i got into a support group before the court date. take the class, challenge yourself to examine your actions, and use it to better yourself.
Pray that the cop doesnt show up... Bigmac has a pretty good game plan. in my experience, everytime it was a bs "stop and frisk... he aint got shit on him so lets issue a citation" ticket (I.E. no front license plate) they haven't showed up. however i like how blackls puts it... if you are going there thinking that the cop wont show up, more than likely they will.
If the cop has you dead to rights, dont try any lame excuses. youll only piss the judge off. where i live (oregon) they usually knock $100 off the fine for not wasting their time if you just go in and say "look, i fucked up and i will do my best to avoid this in the future"

photo radar as well as red light cameras will earn you a warrant in one town here called beaverton.
however, when they do their speed traps with photo radar they have to follow the rules... it has to be posted 100yds away that photo radar enforcement is taking place AND it has to have an officer present to operate. my dad has actually called the county sheriff and reported the beaverton police for not following the rules.
we also found out that they cannot give you a ticket if you are not 100% identifiable or if it is not you so my friends and i just put our window visor down when we have to drive through that wretched town. lol

i was out in the suburbs driving 2 hours away and i was doing 120 for about a 3 mile distance around noon and i had a fuzz buster but it never went off and i seen a few cops ahead a few miles i was going 70 by then and they pulled my ass and they said they clocked me at 120 and they had a hellicopter in the sky its called operation fastcar they took my license right on the spot and gave me court date and i never went i was hittin my bong and 3 cops were at the door and i ran out the back and i paid them 250 bail so i stayed out of jail that day but i just got sentenced to 142 days in the rock county corrections center it was not worth it now that i look at it but i just got my new swap in and wanted to see if it would pull all the way to redline
