2 batteries?

I never done this before but how do you put two batterys in your car. I don't mean the cosmetics or location. Just what should the wiring be like.

Ideally you want to run the in parallel. Running them in series would theoretically double your current which would surely fry you voltage regulator then possibly some other electronics. A series will put too much current in the system.

The question is why do you want two batteries. If you want extra power just get one good battery and a higher amperage alternator.

Is this parallel? Pardon my computer drawing it SUCKS!

I can't really tell what that says on my phone.

Parallel is running positive to positive. Negative to grounds.

that sounds like it would kill the ecu

You will not run into those kind of issues if they are wired in parallel.

Parallel will provide zero extra voltage, but significant more storage capacity.

Series will provide zero additional storage capacity, but dangerously more voltage

Then what would be if I had negative hooked to the positive, and then hook the other positive and neg to a different thing

You don't want to hook a positive to a negative. Even running alternator power to positive, negative of the same battery to the positive to another. Then running its negative to ground is still series. Do not do that

Positive to positive. Negatives to ground. Unless you just want to see how a system designed for 12v handles 24v

so lemme ask you this can I just hook the positive and negative to the other battery then run the pos and neg from that battery to the car?
