2 batteries?

both the batterys are currently in the trunk. So what should I do put two battery cables from each battery and put them to the positive and ground that go to the front of hte car?

OR

Can I just put the positive and negative together combined between the batterys and just connect the front wires to one of them batteries/

because I had a firebird at one point with no title(long story.) ANYWAY I got the battery from it back and it is an optima yellow top.. I have the best interstate battery currently powering my car. I want to use both of them because my car currently has power issues. Even with my sub woofers off my lights all dim and the car drops idle a little when I press brake and use other power shit.

I don't have any money to get a good alternator. and I tried the yellow top by itself and it didn't help. I don't wanna try both batteries until I know what I am suppose to do wit hit to make sure its rightly hooked up. Can anyone get a picture because I cannot visualize a parallel.

Sigh don't say that... I don't have money right now. I really would just get a super nice alternator for boost so I can just not worry about it. But I don't have that option

well you cant put two batteries that are a high rating an expect your stock alternator to keep up with them. they will wear out there welcome in that car as a pair. the higher the amp hour rating the higher amperage your alternator has to be.

Okay Broski. I have heard that two batteries can also help if you do it right. I thought since I had extra battery it would work

fix the problem that you have instead of creating more of a problem.

and mixing different batteries.... no no.

If your lights are dimming from your system, consider investing in a capacitor.
But it sounds like you have bigger electrical problems than that, I would start with the alt first and go from there (a cap is never a bad idea for a sound system.)

a capacitor is useless in this situation. its not meant to fix light dimming issues. that is the problem when people use it for the wrong purpose thinking it will fix it
