stop right there. i dont appreciate the dirty words. This thread if full of fail..shut the fuck up.
Yeah, that's what I used to normally do. This was pretty much one night of bad judgment. This also happened about a month ago, so I'm not too busted up about it now.i used to drive on back, mountain roads all the time. however... i knew the roads, and i never followed anyone. i always drove my own line. safe and slow or safe and fast. i dont see a problem with being a weekend touge warrior, and i dont think anyone else should either. but drive well within your means, and dont race. racing means pushing the limits. pushing the limits means hen things do go wrong, they go wrong BIG time. and i think thats the lesson you just learned. have fun on back roads, race on a race track. unless... you wanna be rice
tires make a world of difference, and break them in well.Yeah, that's what I used to normally do. This was pretty much one night of bad judgment. This also happened about a month ago, so I'm not too busted up about it now.
Also, I never called the police or my insurance company since all I had was liability, all they would do is raise my rates so you guys don't have to worry about me causing Honda insurance rates to go up. That would be the other guy who was driving an 07 Civic Si.
I tell you what, though; it certainly made me start thinking about what I do before I do it. Thanks to those of you who can understand my position. To those who were harsher: yeah, you're right. But there's nothing I can do about it now except learn from my failure and try not to repeat it.
I think if I ever do get back into this thing, I will take things more seriously and make it a track car. Use my Jeep as a DD. Save money and do things right, like you guys were saying. But I still gotta wait until at least June 5 before I know anything. Any tips for first time trackers? Other than don't street race, of course. lol!
^ why? You guys seem to know how to keep a thread off topic pretty well already...^you should have put that in a PM...

noob? who the fuck do you think you are talking to? i am a noob to this site. my bad, forgive me i didn't find this site earlier. i'm not butthurt, i'm not mad and i don't give a shit what you say to anyone. you are entitled to your opinion, that's why you said what you did. i am entitled to mine. let me rephrase what i said so you might grasp the concept a little more clearly:
i agree with you 100% but you don't need to be rude about it. yeah, he fucked up and shouldn't have been out doing it. but on the flipside, if you would have done it (you never would so i guess you can't get that idea), you would most likely feel the same way as he did/does.
bottom line, don't street race, it only hurts the rest of us who are legit in this scene. don't fuck around or there will be consequences. mistakes are forgivable and as long as nobody was hurt, cut your losses and move on.
jesus christ, i didn't realize i had to have senior status on here to speak my mind.

Harsh words aside, I have learned my lesson. Some of us have to learn the hard way because we're stubborn. But I don't think I'm going to even fix the car. I'm more than likely going to just try and find a regular car to drive me around.
I enjoyed my car while it lasted, but I look back now and realize that my priorities were a little out of order. Cars are just cars and they will all eventually burn, metaphorically speaking. I realize now that I've got better things to do than go nowhere fast.
In response to some of the harsh words that are being said: it was a calculated risk. We were in an abandoned sub-division so the only ones at risk were us. That was the idea. The guy in front of me caught a little gravel from the side of the road. By the time he finished correcting, it was too late to make the 90 degree turn and he went into the ditch. It was night, so I couldn't tell that he wasn't just going over a hill in the road and so I went right after him.
8urcivic is right. I was messing around, being stupid, and now I'm paying for it. I was being a ricer. But I'm not going to stay that way. I wish I didn't have to do this to learn this lesson, but I did. There's no changing what happened and I take full responsibility for my idiocy, my ricer-hood. But I also take full responsibility for my future as well. I don't have to stay this way, I can change. I can make sure I don't do anything like this again.
And that's just what I'm going to do.
i really hope that isnt aimed at me.street racers fail. people who drive even slighly intoxicated fail. most drivers in Tennessee fail. if you dont know how to drive responsibly get a fucking bicylcle. ive had 6 friends die to vehicular reasons. 3 were at fault 2 were passengers and 1 was ran over buy someone who was speeding around a residential corner and spun out in his front yard on top of him.
