noob? who the fuck do you think you are talking to? i am a noob to this site. my bad, forgive me i didn't find this site earlier. i'm not butthurt, i'm not mad and i don't give a shit what you say to anyone. you are entitled to your opinion, that's why you said what you did. i am entitled to mine. let me rephrase what i said so you might grasp the concept a little more clearly:

i agree with you 100% but you don't need to be rude about it. yeah, he fucked up and shouldn't have been out doing it. but on the flipside, if you would have done it (you never would so i guess you can't get that idea), you would most likely feel the same way as he did/does.

bottom line, don't street race, it only hurts the rest of us who are legit in this scene. don't fuck around or there will be consequences. mistakes are forgivable and as long as nobody was hurt, cut your losses and move on.

jesus christ, i didn't realize i had to have senior status on here to speak my mind.

LOL! sorry bout your teg man but actions have consequences! i dont street race EVER! ive been in 11 wrecks as it is and street racing wouldnt help that! (i wasnt driving in any of them < clean driving record besides a minor ticket :) but this thread is effing hilarious!! 8urcivic WINS atleast a dollar!

Sorry to hear about the teg man, this kind of stuff happens when you mess around on the streets and/or aren't versed in car control/performance driving. Without going into massive detail, I've been there (and so have a lot of other members on this forum).
Let this lesson be the turning point for you - go find some friends who TRULY know performance driving and learn from them. If you go to the canyons (if they have such a thing where you live) don't go more than 70%. If you want to go balls out just hit the track or autocross. Tracking a car out here in Cali is cheaper than your front-end damages alone.

haha ill make sure he gets it when i see him this weekend.

and not to bust anyones bubble buuuuut (not that ima cop or anything and deal with this crap tooooo often) most accidents (even involving street racing or any other kinds of ruckus) arnt caused by the racer or racers. they are usually caused by somekind of failure on the car or other parties involved. most people dont pay as much attention to the road as people racing. when your racing more than likely your keeping your eyes on the road and around than the guy eating dinner and having a business call on the way home from work. but its the guy pulling out that doesnt realize your blazing down the road at 100mph or the lady not checking her mirrors before changing lanes that causes the accident. now im not encouraging racing at all but the facts are the facts. and yes a 16 year old kid going out playing fast and the furious on the road is likely to cause an accident but most people on this fourm arnt that dumb, with the exception of ricky, haha jk

Harsh words aside, I have learned my lesson. Some of us have to learn the hard way because we're stubborn. But I don't think I'm going to even fix the car. I'm more than likely going to just try and find a regular car to drive me around.

I enjoyed my car while it lasted, but I look back now and realize that my priorities were a little out of order. Cars are just cars and they will all eventually burn, metaphorically speaking. I realize now that I've got better things to do than go nowhere fast.

In response to some of the harsh words that are being said: it was a calculated risk. We were in an abandoned sub-division so the only ones at risk were us. That was the idea. The guy in front of me caught a little gravel from the side of the road. By the time he finished correcting, it was too late to make the 90 degree turn and he went into the ditch. It was night, so I couldn't tell that he wasn't just going over a hill in the road and so I went right after him.

8urcivic is right. I was messing around, being stupid, and now I'm paying for it. I was being a ricer. But I'm not going to stay that way. I wish I didn't have to do this to learn this lesson, but I did. There's no changing what happened and I take full responsibility for my idiocy, my ricer-hood. But I also take full responsibility for my future as well. I don't have to stay this way, I can change. I can make sure I don't do anything like this again.

And that's just what I'm going to do.

i used to drive on back, mountain roads all the time. however... i knew the roads, and i never followed anyone. i always drove my own line. safe and slow or safe and fast. i dont see a problem with being a weekend touge warrior, and i dont think anyone else should either. but drive well within your means, and dont race. racing means pushing the limits. pushing the limits means hen things do go wrong, they go wrong BIG time. and i think thats the lesson you just learned. have fun on back roads, race on a race track. unless... you wanna be rice
