Racing around like an idiot. Thankfully, no one got hurt.

I was following someone who I thought knew the road. They made a mistake and I followed them headlong into a ditch at 50mph. Bent the whole front end up. Compacted the radiator into the shape of the engine block. A good friend of mine found a new front end including radiator support, headlights, turn signals, and a hood for about 200 bucks. But I still need a new bumper cover. The worst part is that the airbags went off. Essentially totaling the car, even though I only have liability. So I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I've got a Jeep I can drive around for the time being.

I don't know man, I don't think I'm going to do this anymore. I shouldn't have been out that night. I shouldn't have been with those people. I shouldn't have been driving so fast. I should have listened to you guys about street racing but I thought I was different. I thought I was good enough. But nobody is above error.

I want to say that I'm sorry to all of you. I don't feel like I represented Club Integra very well that night. And I'm sorry.

I can see if I can get pictures this weekend... but it just hurts to look at it like this, you know? All busted up and it's my fault.

Sucks.

You learn from your mistakes, so the next time a situation like this arises, you can make a better educated decision on what to do. We have to fall before we can get up.

in all honesty, that is completely right. you don't need to be so harsh about it. he wrecked his car and took the blame. lay off a little. if you did the same thing, you wouldn't want people all in your face talkin shit about how you got what you deserved.

i took a friend's rx-8 out a while ago and drove around a little, i wasn't racing, just enjoying the road. is that wrong of me as well?

To OP: You were being stupid, wrecked, and learned from it. Now just keep it on the track, dont act like a douche on public roads again and its all good. Otherwise you will be demoted to a single cam EF hatch on steelies.

if we're already up, i see no reason to fall down. thats how i roll. only thing that has caused harm to my teg has been that bitch of a mother nature. first a rain storm, then a 100mph windstorm. the wind storm put it out for the count, though.

street racers = fail

we've all been there, and done that, myself included. but some of us learn when to get out before shit gets too bad. unfortunately for you, someone has to issue you one of these...

noob? who the fuck do you think you are talking to? i am a noob to this site. my bad, forgive me i didn't find this site earlier. i'm not butthurt, i'm not mad and i don't give a shit what you say to anyone. you are entitled to your opinion, that's why you said what you did. i am entitled to mine. let me rephrase what i said so you might grasp the concept a little more clearly:

i agree with you 100% but you don't need to be rude about it. yeah, he fucked up and shouldn't have been out doing it. but on the flipside, if you would have done it (you never would so i guess you can't get that idea), you would most likely feel the same way as he did/does.

bottom line, don't street race, it only hurts the rest of us who are legit in this scene. don't fuck around or there will be consequences. mistakes are forgivable and as long as nobody was hurt, cut your losses and move on.

jesus christ, i didn't realize i had to have senior status on here to speak my mind.
