I don't see why everyone thinks he's going to have problems hooking off the line. Most tuning programs, Hondata for instance, lets you limit boost in gears. All he needs to do is limit the boost in first and second gears and he'll be fine. This is what Mazda did with the Speed 3. I only get 10lbs in first 12 in second and then 16 in 3rd and up.

^agree with you. but we are not talking about 300-400 hp. This guys shooting for 650hp. Traction is limited by your tires. Better tires will allow for higher boost settings in all gears.

True but he can tone the boost levels down in the lower gears where he doesn't have traction. So even if he tunes it down to say 250 in first, 300 in second and so on, then have it pushing 650 in 4th where he can actually put it to the ground. The thing will get off the line like a badass and smoke just about everything on the highway.
