Its still rattling around 2500-3500 rpms. No its not the heat shield, i took all of the heat shield off, except my heat shield on my header, because i haven't bought a new header. Does anyone know what might be the problem. Could it be my motor, or what any suggestions would be good. Thanks.

yup... its really annoying. just reach under their and pull it off. if that isnt it then the mounting spot for you manifold might not be bolted correctly. this is a bracket that hangs down and should be right before your cat. on the header. there should be 2 bolts. make sure they are tight, otherwise it will rattle, mine does it because i broke the bolts on accident and have been too lazy to replace them, or just take the bracket off.

b4 you take it off take a rubber mallett and whack the system and listen for the rattle. if its inside the converter the substrate is broken.

Its not in my catalytic converter because I just put a brand new one in there, because I thought that was the problem too, but its still rattling.

Hey FiberOptixx, i think it just your motor but where is it rattling from? can you try to track where the sounds coming out from? inside the motor or outside of the motor? :D

I know that it is coming from under the hood its just from where, I think its coming more from the back of the engine or around that area.

Because you can't figure out where it's coming from, and you have a 15+ year old car, it's going to make noise. :roll:I forgot how tender the new generations are.

Reach back and start shaking things to see if anything is loose. I still think it's something on your exhaust or heat shield. Did you take the one off in the back, right in front of your right rear tire. When something is only rattling at a certain rpm it's usually because of the harmonics the exhaust is making at that point.

FibeOptixx- its hard to diagnose a car without being there to hear it and touch it. Find a friend who knows cars, have them look at it. When they do, shut your trap and listen. I learned a shit ton from just listening and watching Ricky and his dad fix cars.

Lol I had the exact same thing happen to me when I finished putting my exhaust on. It only rattled at like 3200rpm. Turned out it was something inside the cabin.
