did you have to connect any wires in the rear fender area?
bump im interested about this to.
haha same goes for me. Very interested in this topic. Same-ish problem goes for me. OEM Antenna doesn't go down at all. Looks a bit silly. It's always up and its long as hell. i checked out that locustom, and their antennas look awesome.

Honda S2000 Antenna -->Integra Installation

I just ordered this. Planning on installing it in the upper driver side corner of my rear window. Its a Metra electronics amplified antenna, part number 44-UA20

That should work fine, let us know how it goes and how good the reception is after you install it..maybe do a write-up with pics?

I'll definitely do a write up, but I'll need to find out where to tap into a 12v for the antenna booster wire. Not sure where to put that. Should have the antenna by mid week, with install done by the sunday.

as far as i'm conerend, the S2K antenna is far to expensive. I don't use the radio too much, but i still use it nonetheless. The one that g3teg97 had recommended/mentioned looks just like the S2K version, but obviously not Honda OEM stuff, cheaper, and seems as if it would be easier to install. I already ordered one from "locustom." I gotta wait and see.

locustoms shark antenna = $36 + shipping
Honda S2K OEM Antenna = $120+.

i'm cheap. what can i say.

sorry for the late reply, was busy moving out. anyway...

i can't really recall what i exactly did, but i know i unplugged the OEM antenna and the wires that came with the s2k antenna was a direct bolt on. i didn't have to customize anything. the s2k antenna that i have is just a replica, that's why i got it for cheap (less than $35 with shipping i think). if you go for the oem s2k antenna then i'm sure they'll charge you alot. like what i said, the replica works great for me and i only lost the AM stations (which i don't listen to anyway). do a search on ebay, i'm sure you'll find one.

btw, when you install it, make sure to place silicone around the holes so water don't sip in. you can do it from the inside.

good luck.
