Got any good ideas for what kinda header and cat??

Or what kind do you got on your car?

all depends on what kind of exhaust sound you want man, quiet / loud.... I prefer the more quiet side my self,why I got RS*R, but I would do maintenance on your teg, most people forget all about that.. keeping buying mods for their car and forget about the maintenance of their teg! Mods will be no good, if car breaks down :lol:

But if not worried about maintenance I would look into theses things in order...
- suspension (dont have to slam the car if you dont want to, but a good 1.5 is required! by law.. )
-any type of body work, fix rust dents in such, heck maybe buy a nice front n rear lip...
-rims
- maybe sound system, I HATE the stock one...

Are you using a stock header for your exhaust? you never mentioned you have a header.. I would pick up a header too..

The header I got was just one of those generic ebay headers and it works great. Fitment was little ishy but it still went in pretty decent for being ebay stuff. And the quality was awesome also. (It was only like $100) Ported and polished inlets.... And I also had a cat-delete, so bye bye cat. Since your car is a 1996 it is an OBD2 car, so getting a cat-delete will turn a Check Engine Light on though.

Don't waste your money on a high-flow cat. They are HUGE wastes of money. If you need to replace the cat, sure get one, but don't just throw your money at one hoping to get some power.

But if you want a good quality trustable header system, look at some DC Sports or Meagen Racing or something along those lines. Go to AndysAutoSport.com or some internet shop and check out some headers they have for sale.

If I were in your shoes, you could throw $600 at some Coilovers (look around and they are that price) And then i'd buy a 5-piece strut bar combo (upper front, upper rear, lower front and lower rear tie bars, and a c-pillar bar All that is about less than $100 on ebay) and then go for a nice rear sway bar. You'd totally love the car then.

There is really no need to upgrade your cams at this point.

With $1000 (if I were in your shoes) I'd spend it wisely on a good tune-up and fix up any interior and exterior damage.

When's the last time you had your timing and drive belts replaced?
How much mileage is on the car?
Any noticeable rust?
Dents, dings, sagging bumpers?

I agree. Its utterly pointless to upgrade a vehicle thats not even in the best shape possible with the parts already on it.

Yea I got the stock header, I will go look on those web sites for some good ones.

Ill look into the suspension stuff, the car its self is nice and I just got my sub and shit put in the other day.

I will also check out some strut bars

Ps, some kid with a beat up old civic at school wants to race me (lol) ill record it and upload it on here so you guys can see me in action.

get one of these http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2052395 its a hy-tech knockoff but its much better than an ebay special b.c it has a 2.5" collector almost all other headers are 2.25" outlet versus this one that is 2.5" outlet. you can also with the rest of the 675 you got grab a set of coilovers. always buy the jdm knockoff its the same r&d just made cheaper b.c of name sake even the quality is up to par usually.

and I owned that civic I was talking about in my last post, it wasnt even a race I had him by atleast 5 car lengths, I would have had it on camera but my girlfriend (a blonde) didnt press the right button haha. So ill race him again so you can see.
