Cheesenips 2.4L swap 97 neon build up thread

Well I found out why it was leaking oil. Front crank seal.

But when puttin everything back in, I noticed on my intake cam the pin for the cam gear was broken. Dont know how that happened, but it did. Now i have to replace the cam.

Yea:

It runs when the cam sensor is un hooked, Which is telling me its a cam magent. I need to play with it to get it turned just right so the sensor reads it. I dont have the side motor mount hooked up bc Ive been playig with the timing. From all the cranking and vibrations, the motor slipped off the jack and the jack punctured my oil filter. 7qts of oil on my garage floor FTL.

I havent messed with it in a few days thou. I got burned on my wrist so ive been kinda staying away from grease and oil.

I will be workin on it this saturday thou.

I love taking a shower with a burn, steam pwns you hard. At least all that got broke was an oil filter.

honestly, the shower isnt bothering my burn. everything else does thou. Yea. Ill be stoppin at the dealer friday moring to drop the SRT off for an alignment, and picking up like 10 filters.

honestly, ricky. It probably wouldnt be till late this evening. I do need to get it on the move. Dad's been kinda gettin mad about it. And I dont blame him. its been in the garage since Feb.

So your problem is that the car won't start on it's own, but once it's running it runs fine?

runs ok. i dont let it run long. Not everything is hooked up. I think Im goin to put 2.4 cams back in it, just to drive it. Im probably goin to re-wire the engine bay. There was a live wire, that I didnt see and it grounded out. I got it fast but it still made contact.
