Cheesenips 2.4L swap 97 neon build up thread

Nice progress . Im not the biggest fan of neons but I like your build thread, very interesting!

No pics, but last nite I pulled the motor and trans to mark the flywheel and clutch to line them up.

Today I reinstalled the motor/trans. bolted the clutch up. bolted the shifter cables and clutch cable. I put both Axels in the trans but still need to tighten up the ends in the front hubs.
I put the exhaust manifold up and just finished moving wires around in the wiring harness for the coil and injectors.

Ok..pics!

I had some 15yr old from down the street help me out with lifting and movin some stuff.
Its ok, the side motor mount, trans mount, and engine hoist are hold it up.




Axels-this one didnt want to go in for a while

tonite, ill be hooking up the cooling system, intake manifold, Throttle body, soldering clips for the 24# injctors and maybe running the wiring harness

nice work btw. you lied about july 4th it being done but atleast there's finishing progress.

Well Todays updates are:

New plugs, wires, coil pack. Put the lettered 2.4l valve cover on, with new spark plug seals and valve cover gasket.
Rewired engine bay...well kinda. I hooked up about 80%. I need to make the oil pressure switch connection longer, splice in the clip for my starter. and swtich out 2 fuel injector plugs.

Well...i spliced the fuel injecotr clips, and the clip for the starter. I forgot to make my oil pressure switch wire longer.
Anyways, here it sits today
