Rough day for the teg

First a little background story, My teg has always taken a loooong time to warm up after i start it. The temp gauge needle doesnt really move till about 20 into my drive.
Anyways, today i was driving over to my grandparents house and i noticed the temp gauge needle went up really fast. I was barely down the street and it was a quarter of the way up. So that raised a red flag, but where i was going wasnt far so i decided id keep going and see if it went down. As i drove it went up higher and higher, then actually almost reached the (H). BUT as this was happening every once in a while it would go back down, sometimes even back to the 1/4 mark. I got to my grandparents house and i checked the engine bay and there was coolant on the radiator fans and on other random parts. At first i thought it was the bottom radiator hose but when i looked closer at the radiator its self i saw that the top left side had a small pool of coolant and when i had the car started (After filling radiator with water) the little pool of coolant was running down the side of the radiator. Im getting that fixed tomorrow. But in the mean time my grandpa let me borrow his teal auto GS teg.

Sorry man, same shit happened to my LS.

Time for a aluminum radiator I guess.

yup x2 here...i was driving in like 100 degree weather and i was really beating on my car and when i came home i saw that i blew i little hole where the plastic and aluminum parts come together on the stock radiator...i have a Visteon/C&R Racing full aluminum radiator now with a upgraded fan and it was prolly one of the best modifications that i made to my car

If your temp. ever goes up, put the heat on full blast. it will lower the temp. so your car doesn't over heat. Of course it will be hot as hell, but it prevents your car from breaking down. [[ Works for me ]]

when my stock radiator broke, i turned up the heat too.. sucky because it was the middle of summer.. lol!! and what sucks is that i bought the car with it broken.. my uncle told me i had to replace it.. so after purchasing the car.. i had no money.. so i just picked up another plastic one..

after this one goes.. koyo time!! :thumbs up

i run a rc autoworks radiator. its a single core, but its twice as thick as stock. civic half size. my temp stays at 170-175. it does an amazing job and was less than 100 bucks.
