its gettin there. Hopefully, my srt system will come in. After that, a few small parts to put on and itll be ready for a drop in. then the fun begins

The rest of my system is in the mail, the pan and pump are supposed to be in tomorrow

hey bro, just wanted to wish you good luck with your build. i actually have a friend who built his neon all motor... i know it may be a 2.4L block, he may have said stratus or something, with high comp pistons, built head, ecu... everything. when you look under the hood it just looks soooo amazing (and pricey). everybody around here gives him shit about building a neon, but its really badass.

...the only bad thing: he's a ricer too. its a really well built car thats really fast, but it has a massive front bumper, wing.. etc etc. oh well, to each his own.

well the stratus came with a sohc 2.0 or the dohc 2.4. He probably has a 2.4. Unless he was gay and just put the 2.4 Valve cover on a 2.0

Oh well, most neon people are idiots when it comes to exterior.

I love to see not so common builds! they are the best, i takes balls to step out of the box, and your signature is right you gotta give a little pat on the back to the little neon that came out of nowhere and won that many championships! There are are a few SRT 4s that come out to our local 1/8 mile track and I love to see them shut mustangs guys up after a lot of shit talk.
BTW , I have seen a 2.4l with a monster turbo set up in a neon in Plant City, FL, that thing was SICK. I think the guy sold it just after finishing it, cause he just couldn't get the hang of driving it.

Yea...well..stock 2.0 intake came stock 2.4 exhaust cam.


Thanks on the props, the 2.4l swap is very very common in the neon community. Some people build them up real nice or simple like me.

That or somepeople build the 2.2 stroker..those can get nasty
