Id love to install my oil pump and pan, but I cant. I need my pick up tube to so I can prime the pump.

So do I but I just stick to using it for more generic tasks, I don't like how flaky it gets, it worries me to use on motors sometimes.

Anyways, I worked on it some.
I removed the entire balance shaft assembly, but theres a oil port left that has to be plugged. Ok Very easy, just jused a 1/4"-20 set screw in there. I used a magnet to make sure if any shavings came off they didnt go far.

SRT oil pan came in..Built in crank scrapper


Primed the oil pump with vaseline--i was goin to use the left over assembly lube but it was melting with the heat we've been having

Oil pump is on, with crank sproket..it gave me a little trouble


The pan is kinda on there, I need a new dip stick tube, it snapped off I guess from all the moving the engine did being not rebuilt :cussing:

Ill be goin to the junk yard soon to get the tube, and the parts store for some cam seals, i cant find them

Almost there. You can tell you've built motors with old heads(Vaseline):thumbup:

Well my dealer called me, my PT crusier water neck is in. well i have it now. My oil filter adapter is still MIA.

He doesnt know why it wasnt released. They were on back order but should have been sent out already. He told me he's goin to look into it more for me.
