There is no way I would put an ebay turbo on my car. I did get an intake for the teg off ebay, think it was $30 shipped.

ebay filters do suck..but the piping is the same as the AEM and other name brand shit. Maybe a little thinner

I like AEM because they come with the brackets welded on to the piping. So it's a perfect fit. Very sturdy too. AEM dry-flow filters are the shit too.

Ebay turbo seals, wastegate springs, BOV seals and manifolds suck. They leak, leak, leak and crack respectively

When you buy a brand name (quality) your buying years of R&D.

Tell me, how much R&D has gone into a ebay intake that looks like it was built in a ghetto vs. an AEM intake. In every aspect the AEM is better. Only the price is higher, but you have to pay to play and you get what you pay for......

i dont think it makes that much difference when you are talking about intake and exhaust being your only modifications...i can see if you decided to get an ebay intake and had at least top end work done...it would only make sense to get a name brand intake

but as you can see from every ones opinions, not everything off ebay that isnt name brnad is junk, sorry to say it but some times u get a hell of a product and somtimes you dont. Just because it isnt name brand dont completely rule it out. If i was plannin on building a 500hp integra then ebay would be out of the Question but for somthin just to play with i dont see why not. If you look on other furums everyone that bashes them have never even bought an ebay turbo kit. Because they believed the bad tlaking by other people and decided not to get it. BUt Iv never hurd of anyone who bought the full kit and had major problems with it before. You just never know. BUt dont rule out ebay turbos unless you yourself have bought one!!!!!

funny cuz my intake is the exact same as the AEM intake diameter wise and degree of the bends. it just doesnt say AEM on the side, but im sure that i could find an AEM sticker and take a picture of it and you would nvr tell the difference. the point im trying to prove is that simple bolt ons from ebay are not gonna make any difference. bigger things like cam gears/shafts, turbos, suspension, anything internal wise on the engine... you want to spend some money on because you get the satisfaction of knowing that research went into it, and that your car wont blow up on initial start up. but honestly how much R&D goes into an intake in the first place. and an exhaust doesnt take too much either, follow the stock route, put some bigger mandrel bent pipes on it, and a fart can, and shazam you got an exhaust.

i agree with you when you name the things , like the cams and gears and internals because iv seen insides of engines and that shit cant be even a hair off. BUt iv also seeninside turbos and its just a big fan. And as for the other parts of the kit like the intercooler and oil lines and stuff. NO DIFFERENCE!!!! i have half a turbo kit for my last car and i had a GREDDY stencil that i painted onto the intercooler and a guy who builds turbo cars offered me $400 dollars for it even tho i spent 80 because he thought it was greddy. YOU CANT TELL. ill buy that turbo kit and list it a a turbonetics kit and no one will know the differnce. plain and simple
