Yeah, depending on your states laws. If it's just a tailpipe sniffer then it will pass

they stick a sensor in your tailpipe to read the emissions. I have a random technologies cat and they just plugged me in and passed without a sniffer or anything, but that may be just because I love in Oregon.

Tailpipe sniffer = probe they stick in your exhaust to test the emission. lol My bad

If they don't do a visual inspection of the cat to verify it's OEM then it will be fine. I still pass TX emissions with no cat

yeah i dont recal that they will be doing that and look at the cat. i just didnt know if it would pass since i have to run on a dyno and everything

Buy a test pipe! F cat's... Then you could do intake manifold, cams, etc etc

You have a better chance passing emissions with a high flow cat then a test pipe. A test pipe just completely eliminates the cat
