Yo?
Well as of right now I am debating weather to boost my car or go LSVTEC. I have a 96 GSR with an LS motor with 78,000 miles.
Currently for my LSVTEC build I have CTR Cams, a B17 head that has been rebuilt, Golden Eagle LSVTEC kit, a Hytech Replica header, a CTR Intake, and I would probally order a Skunk2 intake manifold. (still missing a bit of stuff).
But my brother who HAD a B16 in his civic who was going to boost got him self a K20 (lucky bastard haha) So he said he would sell his turbo kit to me for a really good deal. The kit was meant for a 97 Integra LS.
Here's what the turbo includes:
*Inline Pro SS Manifold Jet Coated (A/C Compatible)
*Garrett T3 T4 57 TRIM, 63 AR.
*Spearco intercooler 27x10x3 500+hp capable
*Tial 38mm wastegate 9 psi spring (also comes with 7.2 psi spring)
*Tial Race BOV
*Custom 2.5 inch intercooler piping, mandrel bent
*Custom 3 inch downpipe, A/C compatible
*Custom dumptube
*Custom test pipe which adapts from 3 inch to 2.5 inch (or stock) exhaust system
*All T-bolt clamps and 3-4 ply turbo piping couplers
*Hondata S200b with P28 ECU BLUE BOX, already tuned (275whp with 2.5 inch exhaust at 9 psi) 300+ whp on open downpipe
*RC 550cc Saturated injectors with OBD1 injector clips
*Autometer boost gauge
*Autometer oil pressure gauge
* DMH 3’’ Electronic Cutout
* 3’’ Y Pipe
* Aem UEGO Wide Band with Gauge
* Fast-Turbo Feed Lines and Vacuum Box
* 10’’ Slim Fan (Can be mounted as pusher or puller)
* Turbo XS Manual Boost Controller
For around ~1500 bucks. A few of my friends have told me that since my engine does not really have a great deal of miles not to go LSVTEC. So I might just boost it...
Now I know people are saying go LSVTEC turbo... Yet I am a very broke guy in school... So I am asking, should I just save my money and go LSVTEC or just boost the bitch and maybe go LSVTEC turbo later? I mean I am really really wanted to boost... and yet ehhhh something tells me not to?
