super bright LEDs

My other ride is a Ruckus
I put all led blues in my cluster, but I want to know the size of the lights in the climate control????? because those are going blue too. Then hitting up the dome light and truck light. I also replaced my clifford red light, you could barely see it at night, so I rigged it up to use a left over blue led 74 and installed it, and it is so bright. last night it snowed and you could see the blue light up the snow all over my windows, it looked sweet.

I replaced the only ones that matter at night, turn signals, high beam and the 94/s behind the clusters, I got all wide angle leds, and I have no hot spots at all. I love em.

soooo. i ran into soem issues while replacing the warning lights apparently some of them dont want to be raplaced by LED's and the last 5 lights united against me and just refuse to work properly.
heres what it loks like now

the ABS,low gas, maint ,oil and check engine lights are either always on or dont turn on at all if i flip the LEDs

what could be a difference? besides light bulb acting as a closed circuit as opposed to LED beeign a diode

if so how would i wire a diode?

i also installed some white LEDs in my heater controls
and again it did not go as planned
the frikkin back coloring on buttons is light blue and it shows up when lights are white
i messed up my old butons trying to take off the paint on the back

in conclusion id say that an amber or red LED conversion would have been alot easier since the light blue is not that notticeable with amber lights
A diode is basically a device that can only take current in the same direction it's pointed, in other words it's polarized. There is a specific postive/negative side, if it doesn't light up, turn'm around for the contacts to touch the other end.

I think you're talking about the blue film on the back of the buttons on the climate control? I think some people have removed it to get the full bulb color, rather than a filtered color.

yah my first attemp at removal was not very sucessfull
i faqued up like 4 buttons(to much acetone mised with alcohol)

the LEd issue is
when i put the LEds one way they re always on
when i switch the polarity they dont turn on at all

but the normal bulbs work fine

Is it normal for that one button to not be lit up in your climate control? Mine is the same way.

I used 4 x neo wedge type b from autolumination for my climate control, worked out great.

I just need to find the right replacements for my hazard/defroster button because the neowedge type a were too tall and interfered with the buttons.
