yes. doesn't sound as good as an aftermarket receiver but with the right amp it sounds good.

Don't do it. I had that done when I first got my teg-brand new. They had to splice hte amp into the rear speakers so the bass was fucked up-sounded messed up. Your better off just doing the head swap now.

^^^ did you do it yourself?

mines sounds pretty damn good for a stock head unit + JL amp. did you use in-line RCA converters?

No, I had them do it at best buy-big mistake. The only thing I really hated about getting rid of it was losing the 6 disk changer in the back.

its sounds decent, but you'll have a cleaner quality bass sound if you went with an aftermarket deck as you'll be able to control the actual subwoofer rather than piggy backing off of a stock head unit.

reason being is most places will use a device called a "hi-pass low-pass filter" which converts the audio signals low frequency into a rca output, with left and right aka white and red. which than goes to the amp.

by going this route, you have no control what-so-ever with the bass control why?
because, if you put too much bass on the stock head unit, than you'll have to turn down the gains on the amp, so it won't give it so much power.

but turn it around vise versa, you put the bass on the head unit all the way off, and up the gains on the amp and it'll sound pretty decent, but you'll lose the low-mid frequency on your stock speakers.

you can definitely achieve decent music, but if you want quality, go with an aftermarket head unit a sub pre-out

I did it with my integra when I first bought it.. Sounded alright. But I had a really shitty amp, so there really wasnt any bass. But im sure with the right amp, it would sound decent. just make sure you install the inline RCA converter. Connects to your L/R speakers and then converts the speakers signal to RCA signal to plug into your amp.

I wouldn't recommend it! I would just buy a cheap Alpine on ebay or just a cheap headunit and use the amps w/ the aftermarket headunit! sounds 10X better!

where the fuck did you get that shit?and for $40 bucks? listin dont hook it up to your factory radio. it sounds like shit, and isnt worth your time. if you insist though. uses a LINE LEVEL CONVERTER, part number P50A it's $19.99 easy install, and there you go
