no this cost more than that. its one of the older amps if u dont know the brand dotn talk shit about it.
have you personally used it? line level converter wont give u same audio quality
most of the units (even aftermarket) put out limited frequency range thru speakers and full range thru RCA outputs.
for example a very expensive pioneer unit deh-8600 with a burr brown DAC only puts out 20-16000hz thru speakers and 20-20000hz thru rca preamp.

i meant 40 obo. and wtf is ur problem tecvillan.

a cinverter is still a bogus way to hook up your stereo system, i do this for a living homie andi know that if you want great sound you need to give it the power its meant to handle

so do i man. u not the only one working in car audio but anyway. each got their own opinion so i dont want to get in useless arguments about this. i also do alot of reading about sound in general not just car electronics. my main concern is quality not loudness or bling which alot of people dont like so for average listener the converted would do just fine.

it's been a while, 00DC2.

did you get anything set up?

it may be too late, but i've seen several good amplifiers with high-level inputs for the speaker wiring from the factory deck. i mean, you could do that if you had a really nice factory deck. personally, i find aftermarket decks nicer, and offer more then my 98's radio. most of those amps have pretty good adjustable low-pass filters, too, so you may have some decent adjustment. you might not get to adjust the loudness of the bass as easilly as with an aftermarket deck, but some companies offer some level controllers for their amps, and it's a good cheapest-cost way to go. if you go that way, try to get an amp that you can keep if you change your deck out (if you haven't already).

the one thing I'de like to add about what I said in my comment earlier is that... yes, it sounds good with the right amplifier, but stock head units IMO don't get loud enough. I noticed with my 97 cd player i installed in my car with my amp / sub, I could turn it up but it wouldn't get TOO loud. I like a stereo that I can turn up and it blows my ear drums out. I don't drive the car with the stereo up the whole way, because I believe its a big driving distraction, but I still like to have the option to crank it up when I'm out in the woods at a party or something.
