So lately I've been askin around gettin a lot of different opinions on this question. What would be a good cam to buy for runnin a 450-500 hp b series terror? I was runnin a pair of skunk2 stge 2 cams with skunk2 valves and springs. I heard that the skunk2 cams are for a na build and not recommended for a low compression motor. So that's where I'm at now figurin out my options before I go blow my money on something I can't return. But n e ways I scored some. Machined, lighten, and balanced type R valves and R springs. I was thinkin bout usin the R valves with the stiffer skunk2 springs. Also I'm gonna be runnin some weisco 9-1 low comp. Stock bore pistons. Also i'll be tuning with a obd1 p72 ecu with a hondata s200.
Well the top responses I've been gettin have been #1 genuine TyPe-R cams, crower upgraded type-R type cams, regrinded B16A3 cams, stock jdm gsr cams, etc.
So I've been kinda leanin towards gettin some R cams but I wanted to see what decisions you all made and what your feelings were bout em.
Also if this helps , I haven't got the turbo yet so that part of my turbo equation is still open. So any turbo sizing knowledge would be fuckin great too. Thanks guys
