Ls Vs. Si

Having an Si, they are not the fastest. They have no torque at all, with some work they can be quick. Stock however, not that fast. I love my car, but I know she could be a lot quicker.

A friend of of mine had an '00 Si with a CAI and catback and it ran dead even with my other friends 96 Lexus ES300. I just couldn't pull on it

My LS smacked a 00-01 si on the freeway. I didnt even wanna race but he kept getting beside me and reving and shit, so i said fuck it and went for it. I pulled away from him like nobodies buisness. At about 120 i was atleast 5-6 car length infront of him....

There was an Si on the freeway that was about 3-4 car lengths in front of and hit his hazards. The freeway was pretty empty so I said fuck it and chased him down. I caught up to him using the slipstream and passed him.

Oh btw, he had a loud fart cannon and egay projector headlights.

the si is only .1 faster in the 1/4 mile compared to a ls, and considering u have an rs which is like 150 pounds lighter, it would probably be dead even..........bump for a fellow rs:)

I thought about slappin a B18C bottom on my SI, possibly from a left over LS/Vtec conversion.

BUT

Unlike most honda people, I want to build my cars with the stock engines. Both of my cars must have the original head and block, but have more power. That is if I modify the Si.
:werd: That's why i'm building my B17, I could have just as easily and alot cheaper thrown a B18C5 or K20 in it but the GSR deserves the B17. I feel that way about most Hondas. I'm not big into swaping, especially not on the higher model cars (ex: si, gsr, type r). I wouldn't trade your bottom end for anything, most I would do is upgrade to some Toda pistons and cams. I'm also leaning away from crower and eagle stuff, not that they're bad but I find that the higher end products such as Toda and Jun and even Spoon just fit so much better and take alot less work to get running right.

If something happens to my B16, like throws a rod and puts a hole in the block. Then I will look into a B18C bottom.
