Ls Vs. Si

Im still kind of new here and still havent got any pics posted of my car but ill try one day soon. First off i dont promote racing on city streets but tonight i couldnt resist. I used to own a 00 si until i totaled it last year. :( Well i needed a DD so i found a bone stock 96 rs teg. It was cheap so i got. Since i got it i been wondering how fast it was compared to my old si. Well tonight i was on my way home and a 99-00 si came up beside me on the interstate. I was running about 60-65 when he downshifted so i did and in 3rd we were dead even then 4th i pulled bout 1/2 car then 5th i pulled to about 1 car. I was kinda shocked. What do yall guys think? I didnt think i had a chance. Si had i know atleast exhaust and mine has only k&n Air filter.

Having an Si, they are not the fastest. They have no torque at all, with some work they can be quick. Stock however, not that fast. I love my car, but I know she could be a lot quicker.

His motor might not be very healthy, a lot of ricers throw an exhaust on. Then proceed to beat the hell out of the car. After so much car is shit, mine runs like a champ. I make sure vtec works, but it usually stays under 4k.

RS tegs also have a lot less weight.

Yea that is true! I car does have 153,xxx on it. This is my first teg and i love it but i do miss my si. It does feel a lot stronger from the bottom end than my old si!

im bought to run this same race

my teggy versus an SI

the SI has an intake and mine has intake, ported throttle body, full cat-back , gutted interior, CF hood and header

i hope i can take him

When I get in my g2 it feels faster to me. Just the slight torque difference. Even when I drove it for a day before I bought it, got back in my teg. I thought it felt faster. I think the Si is faster then the teg, but I dont mind not having vtec.

Thats the thing i miss the most about the si, is the vtec but the more i drive the integra i can live without it.

I thought about slappin a B18C bottom on my SI, possibly from a left over LS/Vtec conversion.

BUT

Unlike most honda people, I want to build my cars with the stock engines. Both of my cars must have the original head and block, but have more power. That is if I modify the Si.
