Who's running nitrous?

I did a little horse trading and got an old style skunk 2 or blox. Im not sure which one it is but it looks brand new. If I had to guess id say its the blox knock off. Im using a loner skunk 2 right now and there identical. So im gonna drill and tap the new manifold to recieve the DPN (direct port nitrous). The shop that I do alot of my work at (Adams Automotive and Dyno tuning) just dynoed a del sol turbo car using the blox knock off and were impressed with it. So that sold me on it. Were going to do a little port matching to it to get all the flow we can get out of it.

The cost on the kit is a steal at $325. Im getting a hook up.

Went to the dyno today and netted some good results. After rejetting and some tuning we were able to net 192.4 whp and 167.08 ft lbs tq. Not bad for an auto.

Great work man, I bet that thing is really starting to move. Bet it feels good to be able to spank on gsrs and even maybe type r s with an auto ls motor.

What size shot did you settle on?? I remember my LS Auto was on a ZEX 75 wet shot with some Iridiums and 3 degrees retardation. With that set-up alone I took some local Type-R's and a few RSX-S's. The launch is just sweet! First gear no N20 for traction, powerbrake it and it just went off the line. Perfect launch every time with auto's. LOL. Then after second id switch on the N20. But I ended up ditching N20. $40 a tank per week just killed! The car did love it though.

Kinda sucks I never did get to take it to a 1/4 strip with the N20.

Baiscally we got the timing and fpr set perfectly and went with the 41 n20 jet (for 75 shot) and the 20 fuel jet (from the 50 shot). This gave me a perfect 12.63a/f ratio. I raced 2 friends gsr's 2 weeks ago. The biggest problem I was having wasn't power-but hooking up. The first run I went up and smoke-car went faster sideways than forward. Pretty much the tires I was using were bald-plus 17" heavey rims. The second run I waited till around 4,000 and the hit the button. I still lost but was happier casue neither car could pull on me. That was when I was only making 160whp. Now its 192 and I got some new rubber. I took the 17's off and got some new fusion zr1 205-50-15's for my meshies. Next race should be interested.

Yea, see I was on Ls meshes with some sticky Yokohoma rubber. I had no issues keeping traction on the kick. I was prob running rich judging by your set-up. But hell id rather be a little rich than lean. Never did get to tune my N20. Just played with timing untill it was right. When you get it right you will take those cars no prob. Well depends on what the GSR's have done. But like I said, mine took a stock Type-R and a lightly modded RSX-S. But then again, who knows when you add the driver variable.

Better to be rich than lean, but it costs ya hp. just changing that jet, 1 went from 184whp to 192-a/f ration means a lot.

Yea, lol. but I never had any tools to tune with. Hell I didnt even have a A/F R gauge. It was a little risky yea I know. I was younger and that much more stupid. But hell, I got it right even with just the simplist of readings. Really reading the spark plugs did most of my tuning. Then i would adjust timing accordingly

They are not very accurate at all. I wouldn't tune a boosted car with one. It is almost as bad as tuning with nothing. You could probably get away with on N/A because their isn't as much of a change in the air flow as running boost. But still wideband is the way to go

As I was saying, I didnt even have that. LOL. I wasnt saying they were at all useful. I was actually basing the comment off the fact they sucked.....and I didnt even have something sucky.

A/f ratio makes a big differnece. In my case, it made an 8 hp diff-184 compared to 192 with that nice 12.63 ratio.

I know that. Someone is getting confused here with what im saying......

-A/F ratio will make a huge difference.
-But I didnt have anything to tune with, so it had to be best guess
-It was to the point i didnt even have a crappy A/F R gauge (the one we where speaking of before, shortband models, you know stock O2). Those really do squat, and I didnt even have one of those.

LOL, get it??
