:rolf:

I've never heard of that one, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

No fucks given.
I've always heard hairspray to put them on, furniture polish to take them off.

But I always just cut them off with a razor because why the fuck would I put it back on?

I just stick a long screwdriver between the bar and the grip and spray it full of wd40 to get it off.

But I take it you didn't learn how to install/remove grips from "professional"

You know damn well I had to learn everything myself... My family is fucking useless :rolf:

So is mine :rolf:

But I guess I got lucky, I got in with some good riders that knew the "proper" way to work on bikes in the 600RR days.

That's not to say I still don't do shit the hillfolk way sometimes :rolf: like ratchet strapping the f4 to the ceiling to fix the lowered forks.

Someone's forgetting that I used a floor jack and a cinder block to hold up the KZ when I took the forks off

Forgot to mention earlier that I dropped off the XB this morning to get the 500mi service done, found out that he hired another guy in his shop that rides an RC51 and has an S1 Lightning project at home. There's your sign kirt... RC51 riders like Buells. Get off your ass, find a job and buy a Buell :rolf:

Here's something for you to look at til then

That chain conversion though

I'm working on it, there's actually some guys cleaning out a house across the street from me that the bank pays to clean houses, if I see them again I'm thinking about asking them if they need another guy or know anyone who does.

I'm also going by a guitar shop wednesday and I'm gonna drop in and ask, as well as a quick change oil place a couple miles down the road from there

I also may have lied about the chain kit... :rolf:

I found a store that still has a guitar that was discontinued in 2015 in stock and it's a guitar I really fucking want so I miiiiiiiight buy it.

EBR makes a whole belt to chain conversion kit

The belt is so damn smooth while riding though.

Yeah chains do annoy me when I'm trying to ride like a granny through a neighborhood early in the morning

94RS

No fucks given.
It rides the same whether riding like a granny or doing over 100. Plus it makes that supercharger-esque whining sound while decelerating.

Since you know quite a bit about them... how do you think a 12r would fair in a continuous 7000 mile road trip?

Did a real quick little test spot with the wd40 scotchbrite method, God damn that works good

If it's not a huge pain in the ass I'm gonna pull the whole exhaust off and clean as much of it as I can.

Also I didn't spray the wd40 on the bike, part of that is a valve cover leak, the rest is where I soaked the pad.

First off, there would be a ton of stops for gas. Last time I filled up, I got 42 MPG with mostly city riding, but it's a 3.7gal tank. So double an 883's range :rolf:

If it's been taken care of, unlike mine was before I bought it.... The Buell should hold up just as well as any Sportster out there, cuz ya know... Even though it shares very little with it, it's still a derivative of the Sportster engine, although it's much quicker

I've heard of plenty of people that have around 80k miles on their Uly. Just gotta keep up on the maintenance.

Forgot to mention that there's zero maintenance on the belt.

Told ya...

Just soak the pad then scrub. I didn't pull my pipes off either, just wrapped the pads around then scrubbed back and forth.

Better imagery for ya:
