Its my only car too but we have my dads car that I drive in case mine blows up. No one else drives it since he's not with us anymore, so I usually take it out when I don't wanna drive the integra, which has been a lot with the blown struts.
I don't have a backup vehicle.

I just hitch rides when my car is down. I did it for my entire college experience lol.
Kinda screwed there, too. A majority of my friends are at least 20 minutes away from me and that's 20 minutes from work. If they aren't too far, they're in school/college or working.

Ahh I understand that. But if you get another engine you'll be out for a little.

Let's see, I threw a rod, so that was swap number one. My brothers engine was on its last leg so I swapped that one. Now I'm swapping this one so yeah three.

I posted a post last night saying, "I've got a big update!" today and it's not on my thread. Where'd I post it? xD.

Well, here's my update. I'm gonna try and not miss anything.
My car now has a short ram intake, a new distributor cap, new spark plugs, and a fresh oil change.

I found out earlier this week that the, 'bottom end noise' I was hearing was just a cold start exhaust leak and when the car is warm, the metal expands just enough for it to seal up, so that's good.
I also pulled the valve cover off of the car because I have valvetrain noise.
I'm glad I pulled it off. I found out that one of the cam caps on the intake cam was helicoiled and the helicoil was stripped and rounded off, so I had one cam cap on the intake cam barely bolted on. That could've been catastrophic had it come loose. So, I put a new helicoil in it and it's fine now. I wish the retarded previous owner fixed it right the first time, but stuff happens.
The reason for the rest of the stuff I listed is because I left my hood open and valve cover off in the rain and rain got in the oil. I didn't do this on purpose. I went on a parts run and I expected the trip to last 20-minutes but it ended up taking over an hour. Lol. I about killed someone when that happened.
But, to fix the exhaust leak, I ordered this:

CLS Street Version tri-Y header. Stainless steel, mandrel-bent, TIG-welded, .38" exhaust flange thickness, 1.85" primaries, 2.238" secondaries, and a 2.5" collector. Comes with a free slim fan, too. I'm probably not going to use that, though.
I also ordered some DEI titanium exhaust wrap that I'm going to wrap the intake and header with and some Downstar header hardware.

It's not because I want them. This was a deal I couldn't pass up.
If I have this car long enough for the transmission to go out, I'm gonna swap it. I'll probably just swap an LS 5-speed into it for the time being and then I'll built a GS-R 5-speed to swap into it after that.
Pro tip to kill auto trans: neutral drop it every chance you get :thumbs up

Yay for parts!! Sucks about the rain haha.

I got my header hardware from Downstar today and they accidentally sent the wrong ones. Not only are they letting me keep the ones they sent, but they're one-day shipping out the right ones today. Very happy with their customer service. I will definitely order from them in the future.
