Thanks, dude! I'm sure I'll have more of those types of pictures as the progress continues on the car. Ever since I got this car, meets like that have been popping up everywhere.
Decent sized update.
A lot of my parts came in, and since I don't have work until 5:30 and I'm off tomorrow and Thursday, I went ahead and started to get to work so that way the next two days, I can take my time to troubleshoot and do other stuff if needed.
All of this stuff came in the mail today. Thanks, Santa!
Haha. Just kidding. Thank you Advance Auto Parts for paying me monies every two weeks.

I took the heat shield off and sanded it with a sanding block. Here's the result.

Blox Racing slim fan ready for install. Well, almost. The connectors that were on the fan were wrong, but the wire colors were right, so I decided to cut the connector off of the old fan and I'll be splicing it to the new fan wiring and using it that way. That should happen tomorrow.
I went ahead and wrapped a few things with the DEI Cool Tape.
I've yet to figure out what I'm going to do with the wiring after I'm done with it. I can't decide if I want to tape it with electrical tape and then wrap it in Cool Tape or if I want to buy red wire loom and do it that way. Thoughts?
Thanks!
And thank you! I'll be posting another update here shortly. The slim fan drove me nuts sitting in my room, so I went ahead and installed it and re-installed the heat shield. I've still gotta tidy up the fan install, but I'll do that, amongst other stuff, tomorrow.
Thanks.
I've got more stuff to do tomorrow. The fan install is fully functional, but it's not quite 100% finished to my liking yet.
That, and I should hopefully be getting the rest of my parts in the mail tomorrow.
I've got some in the passenger's side front floorboard of the car waiting for me tomorrow. I'm not sure what all it's getting used on just yet, but we'll see. I know I'll need more if I'm going to do the whole bay, but I'm mainly wanting to use it to clean up the install on the slim fan wiring for now.
Update ---
Well, none of the parts I was going to install today came in, so instead I did a little bit of detail work.
Finished the slim fan install, although I'm not overly satisfied with the splicing. I may come back and re-address this later.
Played with some of the red wire looming a little bit. I wrapped all of the positive battery wires.
And then, I put some Cool Tape in the indentations of the hood by the spider structure that sat over the exhaust manifold for some contrast and to keep the heat down.
