I probably should paint it to take care of the surface rust. I didn't even think of it to be honest. Thanks for the idea!

I'm not intirely sure about the interior color. Suggestions?

One thing is for sure, I need my tail light gaskets to come in to fix the water in the hatch before I can paint anything.
Yeah definitely need to stop the rust! Id go with black interior, keep it simple

If you wanna be ballin look at this fuel cell, Couple guys I know are wanting or running it. I was looking into it for my teg later on when I get a bigger fuel setup (looking for 600whp on E85) They have a 5 gallon tank, But if it's a daily they have a 9 gallon cell but it's expensive...

You can select your fuel line sizes, Oem location, Can choose with or without sending unit, It's super light, sumped/baffled, What else do you need?

I agree! All the surface rust will be taken care of as soon as I can.

I'll need to do a lot of research, but that one seems great! That mounts where the OEM tank mounts under the car?

Yep it mounts under the car just like stock fuel tank, As i've read you can even fill it up at stock location, Not 100% on that part though..

Just do research i'm sure you'll figure it all out. I been researching fuel systems a bit too. That's the best i've found so far.

Thanks for the suggestion! I still have tons of research to do, but hopefully I'll have it all figured out by spring.

Here is today's contribution to the build.

After getting home from school I wanted to take care of the gas tank as I plan on installing it sometime this weekend if everything works out.
I posted the picture last night of the tank with the actuator and the bezel. What I didn't show was the super dirty tank, so I'm posting this as a reference.

Then here is the picture I posted last night after a quick wipe down to show what I'm dealing with.

After about 3 hours of sanding I came out with this. It looks much, much better in person, but pretty much all the rust is gone. The marks you see are small pitting marks, but they look much worse in the pictures than they really are.

Then it was time to set up the ghetto paint shop again and mask the tank off.

and spray. This is what I'm at now. Not too bad for an $80 tank.

My fingers really hurt, I wouldn't be surprised if I sanded half my finger prints off. haha Now to watch some anime and go to bed.
