Oh yeah for whoever was asking people what to put on your cylinder walls so they don't rust when the blocks out the car etc. I sprayed mine down last week when I got it from the machine shop with wd 40. The walls still look fresh out the machine shop. I'm not sure how long it will last. I read on d-series.org someone sprayed theirs with wd40 and it sat for 8 months with no rust so that's why I tried it. So far it's working, Basically the wd-40 leaves a coat on the wall and that's what keeps it from rusting.

Like I said

I used that for years on Dirtbike exhaust manifolds and it's never failed me.

I'm definately getting a ARP tapered ring compressor for when I install my pistons. Whenever I was googling whats some good ring compressors and whatnot, On honda tech some people were saying just buy a ARP tapered ring compressor and that it was just the best. So I searched youtube to see if there was videos of it. I found multiple showing how easy it was and i'm pretty sold on it. Lol. It's pretty expensive since it's non adjustable and you can only buy it for 1 bore size but seems worth it.

Here's a short video that shows the point.

I don't get how people get such a clean block without painting it, I was wanting to have a clean block etc when I built my new motor but I think i'm just going to have a ugly fresh motor. This is how the block looks after it was hot tanked for 4 days, Still has red engine paint left over in alot of spots that I can't remove. I've cleaned it with simple green, awesome cleaner, brake cleaner, Carb cleaner from my dirtbike, Only thing I havn't tried was aircraft stripper but that isn't going to clean it all, It's not just paint the entire block is just ugly. Hahaha, Idk what to do to clean it!

My phone alarm went off at 6:30 for school so I hit the lock button thinking it's a snooze button. Nope, no snooze feature. Woke up at 7:07 I'm now rushing out the door.
