Well, regardless if it's a scam or not, I've tried several different brand fuels (BP, Shell, Jet-Pep, Mapco, etc.) done fairly extensive research, etc., and my car seems to like and run best on Chevron with Techron, and since the Techron is mixed in with the fuel already at the pump, why not?

Chevron is the same as any other gas like shell, 76 etc, those are like the big ones and the ither have worse gas. Safeway also has the same as chevron

I wonder how come my car runs best on Chevron with Techron then. I dunno. I like how it runs and the price isn't that different compared to others, so I'll keep using it. :D

Ted I agree. My ride runs smoother when on Techron but I've been known to fill up with Costco gas on every so often and to no ill effect. I do it to clean out the fuel system since the Techron is already blended in....but I guess that does nothing...though I will never again fill up with Shell ever again. Shell gave me the worst mileage ever.

I'm glad to know that I'm not just imagining things. :lol:
And yeah; Shell didn't do so good for me, either. I got better mileage with cheap Jet-Pep gas than with Shell, and Jet-Pep is the value gas in my area.

I also get horrible mileage with shell. In both of my cars. The teg likes 76..
