meh, The integra was a luxury version of the civic with a bigger motor. The ITR was the only one in the entire range that "defined" the integra IMO. All the rest of them are a nicer civic. There will never be an Integra replacement. I'm sure a lot of members here will agree with that statement.
It will interesting to see what this Q30 turns into, but considering the FRS is 25k and the BRZ is 27k, I just don't see Infiniti being cheaper than that.
So what is the non-luxury version of the Q30? It doesn't follow the same formula. I know the Integra was a step up from the Civic in every way but calling it luxury is a little far-fetched. I think it was classified luxury because it was in a luxury brand.meh, The integra was a luxury version of the civic with a bigger motor. But what the Integra was, was a car that was affordable, and easy to modify, and was an entry level luxury car, and it isnt too bad at cornering stock. The Q30 can be the same.
Yeah, I was looking through that article. Good stuff. I think the FRS/BRZ project has made other manufacturers to look into similar cars. I know there are rumors of a Silvia/240sx replacement from Nissan, this would be cool. If that were to happen, it's only a matter of time before Honda comes back out with sometime similar. Honda could not have Toyota and Nissan taking all the market share from a particular model. I think think that might light a fire under Honda's ass about performance vehicles again.http://jalopnik.com/could-the-infiniti-q30-be-the-next-integra-1065302602
thats where its from lol
But maybe the sentra SE-R or something maybe?
And more importantly, doesn't matter if it's a Japan and Europe only thing. The CTR is supposed to come soon
DOT/EPA regulations. Not to mention that most people think they need 42913776 air bags in a car. It'll still be slower than the 98. Just like the rest. They just make the new cars so heavy.
ITR weighs just under 2600 pounds curb weight, BRZ Premium weight 2,760 pounds curb weight. not a huge difference! (with all 340895730498 air bags) I AM getting a BRZ, It's already ordered and paid for, ect. But I just wanted you all's opinions, especially since I know the ins and outs of the integra world. How much have you guys read into the BRZ/FR-S? Have you seen the crawford tuned BRZ? They're wicked. I enjoy reading all the responses you guys have! It'll still be slower than the 98.
