Lol I run 1000W RMS and have my amp set at 75% power. It dims when my sub is set at -4 out of +6 and hooooooly shit does it hit hard.

There's really not much of a difference between what you have and what I have until you hit the higher volume levels. My friend's two 10" subs kick as hard as my single 15...until I turn mine past 50%. Lol.

I have to keep a 1/4" thick Advantech flooring in my trunk because my sub is so heavy. Combined with the box it weighs nearly 65 pounds.

Idk how picky you are on sound but check this out.
So I have an alpine headunit, old gen type s speakers in front and newer gen in back, stock tweeters and a 10 inch kicker cvr (07 model) which is in a ported 2-3 cubic ft box being pushed by an alpine mpr 500 watt mono block (best amp for $$) what I do is set my settings on my radio to bass -7 (lowest) treble to about +2 - +4 and sub to +8 out of 15. By keeping the bass setting at its lowest you basically force all the low notes to go thru the sub and high notes to door spkrs. This helps the clarity of the sound because those little door speakers like high notes and subs obviously like em low. It sounds crystal clear no matter how loud I turn it. Just my two pennies

makes sense and sound clarity is always a priority. even with my stock speakers will this work out good?

Yes. Stock speakers hate bass even more than aftermarket. Sounds like a great idea. As long as I have 3-way speakers all around the bass sounds fine to me. I have 2-ways in the front so it does get a tad distorted from time to time.

does anyone run just a standard battery and still have no problem with lights dimming? I was planning and buying a better battery because I have a walmart ever start -__- and I saw power cells on sonic electronix that can be used in place of your standard battery even though people use the power cells as secondary batteries to power their audio system alone. some people said just buy a yellow top optima battery but its $180 vs this $80 or $119 the only thing I could couldnt find was the cold cranking amps for the power cells from sonic but the optima has gotten great reviews its just more expensive

Yeah I did it with my stock speakers for years. I'm just killing my battery lol. Should have got a better one

I gotta say, that rabbit under my hood just keeps going and going. It starts up every time even in the winter.
