Welcome to CI, the idle and almost shutting down is probably you're ivac and fitv clean it out here are some links so you can DIY yourself, its not hard I did mine in 15 minutes Good luck..

hello and WELCOME TO CI !!!!! If it were me id change out the intake to a AEM cold air with a by-pass valve. (Hook up the hose from the intake nipple to the valve cover; its there for a reason). Second would be your exhaust looks like you have a DC header on there nice but do you have a cat back exhaust? You should research some depending on future mods and sound preference. Also look for a Strut brace. I think if money is tight you can find one at your local pick-a-part. I think the GSR stock one will look nice in your car. Next the body; the door guards can be painted and are easy to pop off. Next you can get a front lip from Amazon for like $50-$60 dollars (you get what you pay for) but its gonna get scuffed and all so its no big. Also it gives the car a great look. You dont have to paint this since your side skirts are black it will look nice. Id also take the wing off and plug the holes. You can sell the wing here on CI or on CL and put the money back into the car. You can find the plugs at your local Lowes or Home Depot there are many threads here that have instruction on that type (Wingless) in the forum search. Finally id take a bucket of water and a few rags and scrub the engine bay then dry it then take some armor all to it to give it that clean "I care this much about my car:" look.

just some suggestions on things "I" would do if I were you but im not you so take what you want from this post and go crazy. Remember its your BABY and have fun with your new ride.

How do you adjust the idle?

There will a white knob on the oppsite side of the ivac or fitv use a star or flat head and twist it, clockwise or counter until you get it to 800 rpm when the car is warm.
