Keeping the B's alive.
Hello everyone. My name is Ned. I used to be a member on here a long time ago.. but memory is against me and can't remember my old log in to my old e-mail. I used to have a Midori Green Pearl DC2 with a LS-Vtec and a T70 turbo. Last dyno made a little over 500whp. I traded the car for a Red 94 JDM front LS Integra, wanting to go all show.. and then realized it wasn't for me. Since then I swapped a B20Vtec into it, all stock internals, and ran a 13.9 1/4 mile wth a 2.17 60' at 97.50. After an unfortunate incident with a Skunk 2 throttle body, where the screw backed itself out and got sucked into the engine, bent a valve and damaged the piston, I decided it was time to build a course car. I decided 1 throttle body wasn't enough, so I went with an ITB build. 2.1L block, 11.8:1 compression, RS machine pistons, ITR 4.7 final drive LSD transmission, ITR cams, AEM cam gears, Crower springs and retainers. Looking forward to starting it soon and get to the racing.

I've owned just about every B series engine and combo, minus a B16, so I've got some experience. I'm very open to helping out if anyone has any questions, and sharing my knowledge on the builds. Feel free to ask away.

Here's a couple of pics. The car currently has a CF hood (due to a wreck, and it was the only hood I found locally, for $60 lol)

Make sure to follow me on Instagram and throw some Shoutouts out @ninjaned .

Looks good welcome back. Do you have a picture of your old car? I am curious to try to remember your user name.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! This site has always been full with great Integra owners. I'll post a few pics, note that the current set up has white ITR wheels and a CF hood. All other pictures are old. Since the car hasn't seen a road in so long, I've been taking progress picts. But here's a picture of my old Midori Green Pearl. And I believe my old name was something along the lines of MGP_DC2 or something like that.

Before and after pic of the bay. All work has been done by me, with the help of my best friend building the engine in the man cave.

Picture of me running my stock B20Vtec at Import Face Off.

Current engine build. 2.1L Vtec

An old picture when I decided I wanted to go all show, and had RG2's. I loved those wheels. But I gave them up for parts. Lol.

here is the damage of the old head and the throttle body screw.

Her current state, sorry for the shitty night time cell phone pic.

Pretty current minus the wheels.

And here's some pics of my old car.

I've heard horror stories from S2 throttle bodies. But unfortunately mine was bought off a friend of mine, so I figured they'd tell me to go fuck myself basically. So I never bothered calling them. They're great throttle bodies, I'd just suggest putting some blue loctite on them. :thumbs up . I love their manifolds, well... when I loved manifolds. Lol. And I'm currently sitting on Skunk2 coil overs.

Thanks. Honestly.. sometimes I do, because that was my first car and I put so much work into it. It's like.. losing your virginity. It will always have a soft spot in my heart. But the problem was racing. It was too unpredictable and uncontrolable on the track, and it's issues all the time really got the best of me. Fix one thing, another goes wrong. I'd be lucky if it was running right for 2 weeks straight without me doing something to it. Lol. But that's the price you pay to play, I suppose. The other issue was the fact that high horsepower drivers are such dickheads and idiots. So many stipulations to a race. I can't do that roll, I'll be at 5500 rpms, I need to start at 5200 rpms and blah blah blah. I got really really annoyed of it. Lol. I find all motor to be much more fun. I love squeezing every bit of power and weight reduction out of the car. It currently has 1 seat in it. Lol. I've got to say though, out of all the parts, not including the ITB's, my favorite upgrade was trading a fully built B16 head for an original hand crafted SMSP flat tri y header. It did wonders. If I may make a recommendation to anyone reading.. don't buy DC sports and those crappy headers. Either buy an ITR header, or a really good name brand. I've had much more fun with All Motor than a turbo car. However, 168mph was fun as hell, but when your brakes turn to butter, let me tell you.... your butt hole puckers up more than you thought it could. Lol.

Thanks. Yeah, I've had enough experience with B's hahaha. Here's an old iphone video of my stock B20z2 block, GSR head with S2 Manifold TB, and SMSP header running a 1/4 on a street tune with ITR 4.7 transmission and 225/50/15 BFG drag radials. Launch is at 6400 rpms. Anything lower, I got a crappy 60' Lol. This was a 2.17 or 2.18 60' I think.
