I've had my teg for a few days now and I'm getting to know its quirks.
#1 Idles high at starup
On cold startup, car idles at 2200 rpm for a minute then drops to 1100 then goes back up to 2200 and slow backs down to about 1100.
I read this could be due to a dirty sensor. I will do more research and post my findings; of course any suggestions will be appreciated.
#2 Automatic Transmission issues
A few days ago, I noticed the shift between 2 and 1 was rough when decelerating into a stop. I didn't notice that problem when driving today, however, I did experience another issue. I had to get on it a little bit while merging into freeway traffic and it stuck in 2nd gear. I took it up over 4500 rpm for what seemed like 10 seconds or more and wouldn't it shift until I took my foot off the accelerator and then gently put it back on. The transmission was rebuilt by a reputable shop at 68000 miles.
I'm taking it into the shop on Thursday for a look over and tune up by my mechanic. I'm don't have much experience working on cars but I'm hoping to change that.
