My shifter gets really hot on the metal part leading up to the knob, so its pretty normal I think. If you see fire run though. ;)

Yeah my ebrake gets hot, and no matter what there is always hot air blowing in from the vents no matter what. No fans, no options selected, it will still blow out hot air.
I had this problem too. To fix it, hit the air recycler button (next to the A/C button) The air always blows through the vents because there is nothing to stop the air from entering the hvac system if it is set to always take in fresh air, hitting the button moves a flap and blocks fresh air from getting in. That will fix your problem unless your blower motor is always on and your temp lever is always on hot.

Over the 3 Integras I've owned only one had A/C. It only worked for 6 hours after I charged it.

This will fix the air thing, not the e-brake.

Lol set your air to recirculate (the button next to the A/C that has the car with the circle arrow inside it). Fresh air always flows in even when your fan is off unless you turn this on.

Pull up the carpet and console. Install Dynamat. Sound and heat will be greatly reduced. it's gonna happen. you have a hot exhaust pipe running underneath you.

No fucks given.

This is true, I have this exact same problem^
My car's the exact opposite. I can have everything off, but ice cold air blows through still. Kinda contradicts driving with the moonroof/windows open.

I knew about the air re-circulation button fixing the "problem," but does that mean my blower motor is always on since it always blows cold?

Crawl under the car and put heat reflective material in the exhaust tunnel.

Like this, just directly under the areas you are feeling heat.

If this happens with the windows up and the car not moving then probably yes. Try unplugging your blower motor and seeing if that helps. It sounds like your A/C is always running too.
