If you have a extra nut to put on the ball joints, just put them on enough and use a hammer to beat them off so you dont mess up the threads. If that don't work, advance auto or auto zone sells a tool used to take off ball joints. It slides in between the spindle and ball joint and all you gotta do is hit it with a hammer to seperate them.I can't seem to get the upper and lower ball joints loose. Do I just have to keep hammering at the control arms?

Yeah..get the separator tool. Lol. When I went to change my axles I could not for the life of me get the joints loose. Then my dad walks out, looks at what I'm doing, shakes his head and tosses me the tool. Took me 30 seconds to get the joint loose with it.If you have a extra nut to put on the ball joints, just put them on enough and use a hammer to beat them off so you dont mess up the threads.
