I know right, but until I get more money it will have to sit. I'm actually looking for a second job right now so hopefully I can get something. I'm going to go out and wash it today since it's getting a thin layer of dirty on it.
Thats love right there.. out of commission and still washing it. Get a car cover!

kris just keep at it, youll get it in no time. Just remember to do everything smoothly. Modulate and control. Muscle memory will kick in.

I know someone that might be selling a ls block soon but im pretty sure its a bare block and youll need rods/pistons, probably some other things. The rest can be salvaged from your current block i think. Let me know if interested and ill try to fish up a price and whats missing.

Actually I'm certain that there is nothing salvageable in the motor, =P lame I know. The rod is wedged against the block so I'm guessing the cranks tweaked, that would have cause the pistons to hit the valves and mess those up and possibly the cams not sure about all of it but is makes sense to me. lol

You might be lucky and the head/valves could be fine since it was not overreved. Only one way to find out though and youll have to pull the head anyway. But let me know. Piecing together a block could be a cheap solution. The rest of your parts are good.

I might have a few connections for doing work on the motor that I may be able to pull to giving a deal, not sure though but I can see

Not to bad if you can get the little stuff out of the way on your own. And 650 is a stretch. Would any shop do a payment plan xD

wow that doesnt sound bad at all. Damn cheap b20's. ^^ But parts+install is a lot when you dont make the extra money for it. =[

It will be interesting as I've never done this before but I have a friend with an engine hoist, and my mechanic friend said he would help as well (he was the one that did the clutch) the only issue I will have in the beginning is getting the motor out and the new one to my apartment. I plan on buying the parts before the motor that way I have them and don't have to wait.

Will be a fun project. I watched my friend yank a motor. Chain to hoist, unbolt motor, wiggle out, wiggle in new motor and bolt down.

I talked to someone at inline four today got a little more info on the motor situation. 'The motor will be out of a 01-05 crv they aren't sure about the year until they've looked at it and done a compression test. Which I asked to get the results of, seems they don't keep them for observation unless requested (from the response I got he seemed pretty uncertain about that). I also asked about the cost of the install from them too and that would be 825 which is cheaper than I expected. However I would want to do the water pump and timing belt (checked prices on-line). The cost for the 2001 was about 103.98 and the 2002-05 was 138.98. So the max would be 788 if I did it on my own. Tempting very tempting.
