Kind of a odd question about cv axles.

Hello all!
Thanks for looking. I am new to the the honda world as far as everything being inter-changable. I have a frankenstin car so to speak. I had no idea until after i bought it. It's a 94 ls chasis w/ '00 GS-R engine and transmission swap. The odd part is the guy i bought it from kinda forgot to mention that it has late '90's honda accord brakes and calipers. After hearing all that my CV axles are going out, the typical cracking and popping sounds. So i'm looking for some new ones. I have no idea of good brands so would like some input there. Main question is do i need speciatly cv axles since the brakes are diferent? With the different calipers i have no idea if the rotors and bearing and what not are different, or if the spendle is different. I'm hoping someone on here may have prior experience with this! I am completely lost lol, also with the accord brakes and calipers, since the accords are heavier does this mean i have better breaking than normal? Also not sure if it matters but i don't have ABS. The light stays on and i know the wheels lock up. Also comparing with my wifes mainly stock 94 ls i do not have the ABS fues box neither.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in adavance all!

If I had to guess, based on the way Honda does thing. They prob work for both. But I'm sure someone will have a better answer here soon.

Good luck with the ride man. Mods like that and a misinformed buyer worries me.

Yeah i was kind of pissed when i found out the hard way about the brakes the thrid time to the parts store but if i would have used my head and took the old brake pad in the first time lol but no since in cring over spilt milk. Over all i got a good deal, 94 ls chasis with 135,XXX miles '00 GS-R engine and trany obd2 with 90,XXX miles cold air intake, exhaust, full adjustable coil over suspension, sway bars, hell of a deal for 3,000. Specially considering for my wifes stock 94 ls we paid, 4,000. Needs paint and a few odds and ends like tune up, cv axles. They actually did a good job on the swap. The did the lether swap on the interior from the windows down, roof and and what not are tan, which is interesting. Kinda adds charecter and is something different. They put the all red tail lights which i don't beleive come on a ls. They also put honda fat 5 rims. Looks pretty nice, i do have to say being lowered and no spoiler is beautiful compared to my wifes which has the spoiler and stock hight. That and being a 5spd makes the drive way better, my wifes it an auto. Will post a pic or too here in a bit

Ok cool thanks! I really like them but wish they were bigger! Any idea about the axles? Talked to a buddy this mourning and he said they should be typical Bseries but would like to conferm that lol! Also what about after market or is oem better or just as good?

I haven't seen any Hondas with different splines so just get normal integra axels.

K cool thanks! Also would they switch to accord caliper and rotors for better breaking? Or would I be better off with integra brakes?

Yeah have no idea what the rims are any more lol gonna go out tomorrow and see if. Can find any identifing numbers or something to help me research them and find out what they came off of!

Since i have the attention of a few of you, would it be possible, to chip my car to play with the RPM V-Tec engages, a possibly do dual or triple V-Tec stages, with out aftermarket internals? I know dual stage V-Tec is doable in general but is triple V-Tec even possible on any honda? I've read a couple articals about it but not sure how trust worthy they were lol i'm not expecting so get a great amount of power out of chipping it and doing dual v-tec stages but basically a better tune and getting the car to perform even better with my driving style basically. What do y'all think?

I really appreciate y'all input! Its nice to be accepted somewhat, i tried a differentsite site last week and asked a similar newbie question and they completely deleted my thread before anyone could reply, thought that was kinda shady. So just wanted to take a second and say thank you very much y'all!

there are ways of changing when vtec engages, but i dont really think its worth it. your gsr should engage vtec at 4400 rpms and secondaries at 5900(?) rpms. i believe the engineers at honda put them at those points for a reason, and theres not much point in messing with it. Keeping in mind they had economy and ride in mind. other people will definitely have different opinions, but thats just mine.
