my car used to be able to beat the hell out of that thing. no matter how hard he tried, i would always beat him by like 3 car lengths (and he's a pretty good driver too, so don't go saying *its not the car its the driver*)

now that he's boosted, i can barely keep up. through first and second its pretty even, but after that, he pulls away. very quickly.

but not for long
this DA is about to be boosted soon

The lights on your friends car will not fit my car. Wrong year. :p
What year civic would they fit? The '99 and '00?

Yes, the '99-'00 front end is completely differne from the '96-'98 front end. There are two different colors of CTR headlights for the '96-'98 years plus there are SiR headlights too (basically like the stock USDM ones only without the amber reflector and they have city light sockets). I've thouhgt about the lighter CTR lights and the SiR lights, but the darker CTR lights that you usually see I just wouldn't want on my car.

Cool. So that's why a lot of people do the '00 Civic front end conversion.

You could do a DIY black housing headlights. Maybe a retrofit too! :D

I've seen lots of DIY black housing lights and to tell you the truth, I really don't like how they come out. :( They can look okay... but then pop the hood. Silicone pressing out around the housing seams. I've also seen the lights burn in the oven.

Besides, these lights I have are barely a year old (brand new from Honda) and I don't want to mess that up. :D

As for the conversion.. ick. :p I love having a '96-'98 and would rather celebrate having it than anything. Plus... some of even the high profile people with '99-'00 conversions... they fit badly. I'm talking half in gaps between the fenders and bumper. :scurred: You either have to swap in a new core support or hammer in the front corners of it in order for the bumper to clear correctly.

you should try getting the OEM SI rear lip... it looked pretty nice on my 96-98 rear :thumbs up

You don't happen to still have that lip, do you? :p How much did you hve to modify? What all did you do to modify it too?

I have a friend in the Netherlands. It's from his EK3 and he didn't want it anymore, so he sent it to me. It came in his car though, so he doesn't have anymore.

I know you can find them online (there's a guy on cc that occasionally sells them from the Middle East too). They usually run around $70 plus shipping.
