Having the icebox felt the same as a stock intake for me. Maybe because I didn't have the velocity stack at the end? I don't know, but when having a Cold Air Intake, I felt the most difference. Although I did have my DC headers and Greddy SP2 exhaust as well and VTEC did feel stronger. But then having all 3 bolt-on's still didnt improve much at the drag strip. But there's always different variables, such as track conditions, my tires, my driving maybe.

Then again, I feel like we won't get any significant gains from it without a proper tune too.

I had the comptech intake without the icebox and felt no change with the icebox but the intake was quieter. Still makes noise in high rpms for those who like the noise lol. I would rather have performance over noise

The velocity stack helps a lot. The sound is overall quieter but the tone is deeper than the AEM CAI when you push on the gas. This is only my own judgment though since I drive it on the freeway most of the time. As far as power, they both feel the same to me. lol

LMAO

I wonder what our opinons would be if we made these changes and were deaf. Audible changes affects our impression of gains.

Are any gains on our cars in the bolt on department significant? All relative. lol Oh well! As usual its gonna be one of those things i have to just do and see for myself. Theyll work differently on different cars afterall. I like the idea of a deeper tone. I feel like my manifold gives me more sound than my intake pipe as it is.

Sorry for the lack of pics. But here's a small update/sneak peak of what's coming or have already installed. Can someone show me their boobs already.

Outside some neighborhood in San Francisco when I picked up the Ice Box. I shot this with my iPhone 4 and thought it was pretty nice.

Here's the pic of the torn boot I mentioned earlier. Ordered a new one and hoping it comes in before Saturday so I can work on it.

So the updated list looks like this:
StopTech OE blanks all around
StopTech Street Performance brake pads
Goodridge SS brake lines all around
CT Engineering Ice Box with drop in foam filter
New UNI foam air filter service kit from Comptech
Progress CS-2 coilovers street/sport version
Tein hood dampers (received a Civic set, but I'll make it work)
ITR car cover
THH glossy black DOT/SNELL approved helmet

Soon for sale:
AEM ITR CAI in gunmetal color - pending possible sale to Local
H&R sport springs (no shocks)

I spontaneously bought a car cover for no reason at all. But I like it and think it'll be good to me.

Also update the mod list on page 1.

Thanks dude! I'll actually be coming back to Stockton tomorrow after work. I get another half day and am off at 2:30pm. I want to wash my car. It's hella dirty. Gotta floss it nice and good for limestand. The StopTech pads release dust on the wheels like a mutha.

Latest shot.

This weekend:
Rear rotor and pad replacement, rear line replacement, brake fluid flush and replacement, axle boot replacement.

Oh nice. I'll text you guys when I'm out of class.. Just meet me at Raleys. I probably won't have time to wash my car. Luckily I waxed it two months ago so I'll just use a quick detailer lol.

I need a car cover too. Imo any pad with improved braking power will dust more than we like. Its the trade off we must accept for better stopping power.

Nice upgrade Joe! never knew that the itr cargo cover fit over the jdm front. all you need now is a custom jdm bra. Wonder how the stoptech pads are compared to the hawk hps pads. my hps pads work great but they creat alot of dust, Look forward to your review bro.

For sure man. I plan to just run through the touchless car wash at Raley's and wipe it clean.

Haha true dat. I just hate the cleaning part of it.

Thanks Andy. I'm still trying to get a clear bra for the bumper. My daily commute already put a few rock chips in it. :( The pads bite nicely. It took a while at first and I thought it was awkward but since they're a little more broken in now, they feel a lot better. :thumbs up

Me too. Thats why i went back to oem comparable quality pads until my driving calls for better braking.

That shot under the light post... highlights the sexy lines of the car. Might make for a great silhouette sig.
