I have to drive an hour to school and it sucks when the 1st class teacher doesn't show up cause i could have slept in an extra hour...

100% agree... A hobby, something to be proud, and a symbol of being an indivdual...2 Bar Teg said:Most people mod their cars to seperate themselves from the norm. They want to stand out and be recognized for themselves. This translates through their car and how they build it and what modifications they chose. Their personality defines their car and vice versa. Each has their own style although many times we borrow styles from others and make our own!
Some modify their cars because they want to go faster, look different, or simply be unique. Whatever it is those who do modify their cars take pride in what they do. Building a car can take alot of time depending on what your doing to the car; engine, exterior, interior, etc. For me I know it's been an ongoing build since 2002. And I think many agree that it really never ends. There is no finish with modifing your car. Its an endless passion that has gained more and more appreciation through the years. Those who are truly passionate about their cars will say that its an ongoing hobby and really never has an end!
It's not about the money to the people who are truly passionate about it. They will waste their paychecks week after week without second guessing. It's an ubelievable passion and sense of thrill and excitement when people you've never met come up to you and are amazed by what you have accomplished. It's about pride, heart, and indiviuality. No one persons car is the same, though some may have a few parts from the same company, each person stands out from another.
There is a tremendous amount of skill and respect in the scene. And those who are passionate admire and look up to those who exert those qualities. It's not about being bigger, faster, or better. Rather its about accomplishing ones own satisfaction with their car and their style which ever they end up taking.
I hope this helps you with your report and I hope you understand a bit more of why people modify their cars!
