i held off a gti before, and i have an ls....in the long run,everybody's right he will get you...but i dunno gsr might be a diff story

my nephew has a stock GSR and raced a stock 1.8T GTi and got him by 2 1/2 cars.

Well me and my buddy hasn't raced yet but all he has are ecu chip and a boost control and he's got 18's in the front and 19's in the back.

Looking at your mods and I think you will give your friend a good run. You might want to up your shot to 75. It will kick harder and well its more HP. Are you squeezing WOT or are you doing a Self burn?

my boss has and 01 1.8t and its pretty quick i never raced him but it does pull but you can deffinatly notice the lag in those cars i think i can take him in a short race

Well me and ma buddy hasn't set up a day yet to race cause we're both busy with work but 'ill let you guys know what happens for real wether i lose or not. But I still think that I can take him.

GIT vs. Gsr Turbo

My Car: 98 ls mods: b18c1 garret t3/t4 tubo kit. (235hpw 182tqp)

My brother: GTI 20 AE APR chip front mount intercooler. (242hpw 228tqp)

He gets me from 1st but soon an i hit 2nd im in the leed by half car 3rd his on my rear wheel. Highway almost the same way depands on how well we shift. 1.8t stock is little slow but once you get the chip it makes a big difference, a stock Gsr vs. stock GTI good race but I would put my money on the GTI.
