got my first kill tonight in my GST. been taking it easy while it stock...just doing all maintenence and a good tune up and that kind of thing. but got my a/f ratio and boost gauge along with my 4 inch intake today and slapped it on. Raped the hell out of a Hemi charger from a 60mph freeway roll on. these cars are so awsome on roll ons. also getting my stillen downpipe and thermal R&D exhaust next week. can't wait! i'll post pics as soon as i get all my bolt-ons on. for all you DSM haters...i'm sorry; 4g63 rocks! i will have another teg though so don't worry. i'll be back, i still have no car payment, maybe i can pick up a type R for a daily driver down the road a little bit after the the gst and gas prices stack up against me. by the way, i raped the hell out of my GSR on 93 octane and it still would avg. about 27mpg. the gst avg. about 20 mpg. if i'm semi-good. not even gonna talk about the gsx and its mpg. but its a "beautiful day car" so it doesn't matter

I like eclipse's if I had a garage problably would own one, either a g2 witha g1 motor or a g1 white talon, i like that bodystyle only in the talon, but I need a garage so I can keep some spare trannies :mrgreen: , only in 2wd form like me them burnouts

they burnout too good stock. floor it in first gear on a good road and it'll still peg the tach. if you like the talon body work better than the eclipse then it doesn't matter. if you bought an eclipse there would be plenty of people willling to swap f&r bumpers, spoiler and tailights. almost everyone that has a talon wants to do the eclipse body conversion. the 1g 6 bolt flywheel engine is stronger from the factory and has never has any serious problems but i've never had any problems out of my 2g 7 bolt engines. of couse i know these cars like the back of my hand and know what to look for. if its a 2g and has premature clutch problems or they its had the crank angle sensor replaced or probs with it then i wouldn't stay away. the crank angle sensor or clutch sticking or premature funny wear is a perfect sign. usually tends to happen before 70k miles if its got the crankwalk. so most have been replaced or weeded out. but its still a good idea to completely go over them b/c its an awesome engine that is prob one of the cheapest and easiest to get power from but that crankwalk will run your fun for sure

What's a stock 1/4 on a g2 GST? the only eclipses ive driven was my buddies 03 Gts, fast but not my style, great tire peeler thought and g2 GS's not impresed at all, ive ridden on a VR4 Galant before, only 500 whp, gave me whiplash, but seen how many trannies and broken axles he had laying around was a sad site

i haven't ran my gst on the track yet. i think they are rated at high 14's (they beat the 210hp v6 gts). i know my gsx ran a 14.8 stock with me driving at houston raceway park. gst is about the same. the gsx does alot quicker 0-60 due to the awd drive but it has the same powertrain as the gst but heavier so naturally the gst will chase it down with both being stock. i have only put a 4 inch intake and good tires on the gst so far so i'm sure it prob runs about mid 14. got turbo back exhaust and boost controller on the way. my gsx just sits in the garage and and comes out on nice weekends to pick on v8, v10 and italian car. :twisted: my best with it was an 12.26. fixing to get much better though. switched from a mitsu 18g turbo to an hks/garrett gt3037, from an greddy emanage to an emanage ultimate, and going back to my favorite tire. pirelli p zero corsa

i don't like the 3g eclipes at all and the 4g's alright but its just too freaking big and heavy. the 1g is kinda ugly but its an awesome budget project car

i raced my friend. he has a s2k with aem v2 and custom exhaust and my gst was bone stock at the time with 80k miles on it. his car has like 20k. torque is M.F.! i instantly pull like 1.5-2 car lengths on him in first and second. then he finally catches up and passes at about 90mph but he is barely pulling on me. then we stop and i'm all happy that my car ran that fast and i expect him to be suprised.....he gets out bragging with the usual; "oh what happened back there!" i just laugh. that intake and exhaust did alot for that car and it still can barely pull my stock car. made me laugh! he was proud, but i expected a whole lot more. i'm gonna put my intake, downpipe, exhaust and boost controller on and go knock on his door this weekend.

Hmmm that's good, but is really hard around here to find a boosted DSM that's been treated with care and not abused with a ton of problems, there was a nice 99 GSX were I live for 8k but is purple :???:

For me It was a brand new Magnum with 20's or 22's, i was in my 97 Civic HB ( Ls motor, stripped to hell, handled like it was on rails). It was on the highway I was just driving along, and this M3 flys by, and then comes the Magnum, but he cut me off when he came by soooo....... I dropped gear got pass the Magnum caught up with the M3 looked at the dude and point back at the Magnum, We both slow down and the Magnum reachs us, then we drop gear floor it And leaves his punk ass. The M3 stays about 1-2 car a head of me, I look back and that big ass Magnum is trying his best to catch up lol! The Dude in the M3( oh yeah E30 body) get on the exit ramp and throws up the peace sign and I do the same.

my best was a 3 car run between me ls 97 integra, a moded tc and a hill billy with and iroc that had a cam header and god know's what else he said , guy sounded like boomhower from king of the hill at ifrst gear the tc did pull in front of me but did not keep the half of a hood lead for long i got more competition from the iroc it was fast but a car in a half later he dint catch up . lol i love my car thats why i miss it so much, dammmm trannny

Next Most Notable In My 3.5 Altima And Bmw 330 Coupe. At A Stop Light And Im Talking To My Wife, The Guy Pulls Up To Us And Starts Reving It. So I Look At Him And Im Like You Sure You Want This? He Smiles, And Says You Aint Got Nothing On Me. The Two Lanes Merge Together About 150ft Infront Of Us, Took Him Down By Whole Car Length.
