What's the real chances of hydrolocking

i heard bypass valves reduce performance just like adding a silencer so an exhuast almost...so i dont really wanna do that though

It doesn't as long as it is the same size diameter as the intake pipe. It's just an extra filter that opens up near the throttle body once a high vacuum is reached......aka, if you're filter is submerged. It doesn't do anything unless something obstructs the breathing of the air filter such as water
